The Fellow Baby Boomer said he preferred to be called Alexander, he could respect that. It sounded more official, more powerful, Manny wasn't that kind of person though, part of the reason he kept mostly to his nickname. What Manny wasn't a fan of was the fact that Alexander was refusing to let him help the wounded from his cell until the fighting was done, claiming that Manny was still a potential threat while Alexander was alone with him. Manny thought that was foolish, as Manny was pretty sure he was older, and honestly at this point winded, and had disarmed himself from his weapon that his new guard didn't know about. But in this situation he didn't have too much room to argue, he was getting too tired to put up much resistance. Manny almost started listing off the many years of his medical experience and his many degrees to make a point about him being a doctor, partially out of being a little irritated now, and partially because he knew he would be more useful being active then he would be sitting with a gun to his head. Though at this point it wasn't really pointed at him, and was lowered, still ready to aim and shoot if Manny moved wrong. He had seen people do this many times before but had rarely been on this side of the barrel. before Manny had a chance to start making his rants the gunfire picked up again, from the sounds of it some kind of assault rifle, sounded almost like one of the military ones, the M16's maybe. Though M4s were popular now weren't they? Truth be told, Manny didn't know the difference, nor did he really care. They both did the same work in his mind. Make holes in people that Manny would have to find a way to patch up with limited to no resources. Manny noticed the look in Alexander's eyes fast though, and thinking about it, Manny didn't see any rifles in his group of people that fit the description of one of the military rifles. It looked mostly like shotguns and pistols. Manny was starting to understand the fear in the fellow survivor's eyes. Unfortunately for Manny, he would have to try and prove his skills in the medical field in a way that would be less then optimal, or maybe even possible. Manny ignored the comment about shitting pellets from the scared old man, now it was time to work. Manny got up and followed Alexander to the scene of the massacre. Manny noticed three people on the ground, the one with the M4 rifle, and a man and woman who looked like they had been shot, it seemed that this small band was starting to get smaller.
