Here we go.

Mr. Stormalong
Name: Jake Farcen Super Name: Mr. Stormalong Power(s): Like shoom... Maelstrom - "It's the power of the storm, the WORST kind of storm. Thunderbolt and lightning, reign of fire, and twister power all in one. It's a storm that wanted to be as dangerous as it possibly could, and it all settled on the shoulders of a man. So, there's this whirling blackness choked with fire and lightning that I can produce and direct with my mind and my stamina, whatever that is. It's highly versatile, and very powerful. The good news is that while the Maelstrom itself is tailor-made for destruction, I've managed to separate out the three main parts, so I can project wind, lightning, and fire to a degree. That takes MORE concentration, honestly, but I manage. These abilities me get around, protect me and others, and they DEFINITELY have stopping power. Oh, and FYI, as much as this all evokes a 'dark and stormy night' feel to it, I can actually make bad weather STOP and let the sun out." Physiological Changes: "Well, I'm not ACTUALLY immune to the elements, per se, but there's a good chance that I can eat electricity once I wrap my head around the charge and polarity and whatnot. I don't get harmed by MY powers, obviously. When attacked with a similar force, though, I have to try and make the attack 'mine' with my own powers before I can do anything with it. I didn't actually become physically stronger or necessarily smarter, but I HAVE been able to read the harddrive of my computer in my mind, so I think I became data-compatible...though the computer will probably suffer for that. Also, my desire to conceal my identity has caused a shadow to unconsciously shade my face so you can't see who I am when I'm doing my work. I make it look like the hat does it, but it's me." Strength: D Durability: D Energy: A Agility: C Intelligence: C Skills: "I train in swordplay, I've practiced in Jeet Kune Do, and I work with weighted chains. Why chains and not grappling hooks? Well, I like grappling hooks, but I can control the chains with my power, so I decided also to use them normally. I can drive pretty well, too. Ah, who am I kidding? I'm a GREAT driver. I've always wanted one of those secret agent cars with the gadgets and stuff. Always fun to keep the bad guys guessing. Speaking of which, I bring a bit of common sense and deductive reasoning to the team." Personality: "How do I handle things? On the whole, I can be an easy-going guy, crack a joke, show a little patience, etc. But the truth is that I'm about as changing as the weather I command. The whole calmer attitude? The Jeet Kune Do? The disciplining swordplay? All in effort to keep my reactions in check. I use to have real trouble getting a lid on these powers of mine. You've just never been able to lay the blame for any incident on me because freak weather happens all the time. Now, I'm a guy who's got a handle on the situation, and I like me some snark and cynicism to keep it real. I'm a good guy, but I'm keeping my practical edge on, like the sawtooth edge of this sword. Some things are handled better by a guy who thinks for a moment." Super Ancestors: "This is strictly confidential, alright? I find this leaked anywhere, I'm deleting every last copy AND the computers you store the files on. Complete wipe, and I won't be paying you back. My power doesn't come from a super in the traditional sense. It was from this blade on my back, the Sword of Maelstrom. Untold years ago, there was a demon, a living creature with power over the storm. He'd once come before humans in peace, but they attacked him and cut out his eye. Because of that, he laid waste to countrysides in anger...before he finally felt regret and secluded himself in a tower, one that only appears in the most unruly of weather. Well, I found this tower and I heard his story, and for my trouble...this blade was bound to me, giving me power. I can be away from it and still use some of my abilities, but to a lesser extent, because this thing is inhabited and unruly. It's a beast formed of the demon's hatred and anger. That's what I'm slinging around here. Aren't you glad he chose a decent guy to handle it?" Bio: Gonna make a reference here that's not in-universe. Just go with it. Growing up, Jake was a rough-houser. No question, he got into fights with people who were even bigger than him. He didn't care, but one thing frustrated him, and that was that people always got in the way before they could be resolved. These were fights of him being picked on by kids because they were just bad people. He didn't want adults to break it up, though. He wanted it to be finished, to know who was coming out on top. Nothing more frustrating than unresolved conflict, loose ends... Nobody likes that, and anybody who says otherwise is a liar. You want closure, even if it's on something simple or temporary. Anyway, this had little to do with one of the heroes he looked up to, and that was that marvelous masked mystery man, Canada's greatest superhero, The Red Panda! Yes, even though that might not be the most patriotic thing in the world, Canada was an ally, so it was fine, really. Well...he was a masked man who operated on his own terms, even if the police were against him, but that's what made him so cool! He was clever and talented, obscured in mystery and clad in a stylish hat and coat with a red mask and bright red gauntlets. No villain could handle him, not even those who seemed more powerful than him and his partner, the Flying Squirrel. Such was a boy's imagination to take flights of fancy, but he lived in a normal town with a normal life and he did not have super powers or the capability to make gadgets and whatnot. He was smart, in a 'Why don't other people think more often?' kind of way, but he wasn't super-intelligent, per se. What could one guy do? A rowdy sort of tough guy with some brains in the middle, like a hurricane housing a calmer eye. Jake's life continued on and he became a teen, got into high school, hated his old man, made friends and enemies, and all that jazz. Life can be rough, especially when people could do amazing things around him and not much happened in his area. It came to the point where he just started doing things that were a bit crazy, just for a bit of excitement. Not things that would get you killed, just things that were potentially dangerous, but that he had control over. He trespassed, knelt beside the tracks of a passing bullet train, was out in storms, and climbed the nearby mountainous terrain. These last two became combined one day as he decided to involve them both at once. Rather, he wanted to beat the storm to the mountain and watch it up there. The mountain still had trees, dammit! He wasn't going to get struck by lightning. Although, something ELSE did... It became very foggy up there, which was decidely a good reason not to move, like...at all. Except...there was this outline every time lightning struck. There was a building... There wasn't a building there before! But yes, it was a great stone tower, out of nowhere. Seizing an opportunity to actually have an adventure, he went inside of it and climbed the many stairs. Nothing happened the entire time, apart from the storm outside, which was the worst in local history. At the top, in an observatory that might as well be a belfry, was a winged creature clad in armor that sizzled with electricity and had one shining white eye - the left eye - in the darkness of its helmet, a demon of the storm... It was...surprised. A human, here, after so much isolation, and it wasn't outright violent or afraid. More like curious... This spurred the creature to converse, rather than demand to know the meaning of his intrusion. Jake was assaulted by questions, not accusations or lightning bolts. It was...nice. He learned that the demon - Ixyzion - had long ago laid waste to hundreds of thousands for taking aware his eye, an eye that could be restored to him, if he could find it. Because he lost track of it in his rage, he realized that his actions were foolish and akin to a child's temper tantrum, which he came to regret in the years to come. In learning of the changes to the rest of the world, he wondered if perhaps his time of return was at hand, and Jake said "Let's...not jump to conclusions. Maybe you need someone to warm them up to the thought of a creature like yourself, this time.". Ixyzion felt that this was probably for the best, and charged Jake with the task of getting people use to the idea of his presence...by representing his elemental power and perhaps better intentions than the mistake he made so long ago. He also asked Jake to look out for his eye, as it contained some of his power. Jake himself would receive a form of his power, his rage embodied, the Sword of Maelstrom. Thus began the trial and error of a guy trying to contain powers that he's never had before, but certainly wanted to exercise. Keeping it a secret and practicing with what he HOPED was care, Jake began to learn the ropes. Aaand then wen the ropes burned, he switched to chains. Why the pun? Because he finally had the chance, the chance to bring back the classic mystery man. That meant he had some swinging to do, and to make sure he could really stand up to people in a fight. Down the lines, though, he heard a little rumor...once he'd clad himself in a trenchcoat and a nice hat. He heard that there were companies looking to sponsor some supers. Alright, it was worth a shot... At the very least, it was a springboard to get his actual goals a'going. Super Suit/Gear: The fun part! Suit - As it turns out, MI6 was attempting to get an for Aston Martin in the states. They just couldn't be open about the whole MI6 part. The classic style of Mr. Stormalong spoke to them and he was soon selected as their representative. The general appearance was to be kept, which is to say his hat and coat were replaced, but by duplicates which stand up to attacks a bit more. Stormy tried to get an Oddjob hat, but you can't make those out of a fedora. You need a bowler hat. The coat and hat are lined to take some measure of bullets, blades, and impacts, with a sturdy weave, also some flame resistance...just in case. The suit on his body emulates the classy attire of the mystery man and adds another layer of similar protection. It bares what the British consider a decent logo, that being a silver S that looks somewhat lightning bolt-ish, save for the barb-like curves at the ends, superimposed over an outline of the Aston Martin wing-like badge in a darker-but-visible hue. Weighted Chains - Stormalong has a fair length of this that he uses in lieu of actual grappling hooks/guns, which could also by used as a finesse weapon and a means to tie up criminals. The most that could be done for these was to make the chains out of a light and strong material while keeping the ends weighted as normal, thus achieving balance instead of improvising with whatever he's found. The Perfect Storm - Specifically, it is the Aston Martin super car which was supplied to Stormalong for his use, both in and out of costume. It is a high-performance vehicle and silver-colored, with the black-cast Stormalong S-logo able to be concealed. It carries the usual assortment of bullet-proof glass and frame, machine gun headlights, caltrop drop, and oil slick. It's also able to tuck the roof into the trunk to become a convertible, which helps with the ejector seats. The tires are designed to resist puncture and are thick enough that should a flat occur, it is still drivable for a while before tire-shredding occurs. It isn't a silly transforming car, but it is air-tight and able to drive underwater or in space, should it come to that, all while resisting whatever the elements (including its driver) can throw at it. And as one final feature, this secret agent car does not explode. Its anti-burglar system shocks anyone around it like a tesla coil along the skin of the vehicle. It is the car in the eye of the storm, the Perfect Storm. The Sword of Maelstrom - The actual source of his power, this black-handled dark blade with a wide crossguard and a jagged edge that reaches a single point at the end. There is also an emerald-like gem in the pommel of the sword, which...looks like an eye. This thing rests on Stormalong's back and is about the length of a bastard sword, if not a bit longer.
