She considered going out to socialize with the rest of the Irregulars, now that they had some down time, but one the other hand that bed in her room was calling to her with the promise of the first decent night’s sleep in weeks. Giving into the siren’s song, she flaked out on the bed for the night. ”Remember Your Grace; breath in, sight, exhale and pull. There’ll be a delay between trigger pull and firing, so keep your grip strong and wait for the shot.” She listened carefully to Sergeant Zao’s words as she readied the heavy gun. Taking a breath, Lei set her sight on the target and exhaled as she pulled the trigger. There was a heavy ‘click as the hammer snapped forward, followed by the ‘chuff’ of the priming pan igniting. A heartbeat later the gun bucked as it shot, hurling the heavy ball down range. “Not bad Your Grace.” She beamed at the praise. -- {Now} Getting dressed just in her day to day clothes, Yui made her was to the common room. Collecting a mug of tea, she found herself drawn to Nanami and her singing. Sitting beside the Irregular’s little songbird, she starting along humming as she enjoyed her morning tea. [@Lyla]

Isbeil Camshron
{Earlier} Isbeil listened quietly as Ehri introduced herself to Master Sanada. A skinchanger? I’ve read about such abilities, but it’s said to be a most rare talent. I must make some notes…maybe a close study? After the huntress had said her piece, Isbeil stepped forward and made another small bow. ”I am a mage,” She said. ”More specifically a dynamic mage. I can accelerate, or halt most objects at will.” With her wasted right arm she reached into her robed and produced a small pebble in the palm of her gloved hand. ”I can move a simple pebble to speeds great enough to pierce a man’s armour, or stop that man cold with a single touch. I can form a wall of air dense enough to halt a cavalry charge in its place or lash out with winds that cut like a razor’s edge.” Clasping her hands together, she regarded Jing. ”As for where I may be of the most use? I’ve found I’m most useful in the mid-line; I can support your upfront fighters by shielding them from things like enemy arrows, or I can cover your back line archers or healers. Despite what you may think of my appearance I am more durable than I seem.” The corner of mouth curled slightly with a private joke. Shifting her right arm to call attention to it, she went on. ”And before you ask or worry about my right side; it is an old affliction that is well healed. There is nothing there that may harm my ability to perform my tasks.” [@Arthanus] -- {Now} Last night’s introduction to the rest of the Irregulars had been rather interesting. Much to Isbeil’s surprise, the majority seemed to be women, which would be a nice change. More often than not she’d found herself as the only female party member in a mercenary band; and sadly on too many occasions things had not gone well. It was a most unique collection of individuals, but then again, sell-sword work tended to attract those sorts of people. Of all of her new companions though, the young ‘Octavia’ drew most of her attention. The young woman was surrounded by an aura of Dark Magic that Isbeil was pretty sure she’d never encountered before; which was why she was now in a quieter corner of the tavern with her grimoire open as she slowly went through her old notes. After so long simply remembering everything she had encountered or done was impossible, but maybe at some point she’d taken notes. I must find a way to ask her about it; though perhaps once a more stable bond has been formed.
