How do you [i]want[/i] the Shi'ar to fit into the universe at large?

My only idea at the moment are that Sector 1014 (H'lven's home sector, the planet that Ch'p and B'dg are from) is basically in a Syrian Civil War that the GLC and Nova Corps are working together to contain, though for now it's just a background element that will be fleshed out over time. The Shi'ar could be completely absent or complicit or even a cause for the current situation. I'd leave it to you.

Everything else is just Kai-ro pulling over Skrulls for speeding, issuing Uatu a citation for loitering, and boldly going to donut shops across Sector 2814.
