Name: Gallus Evios. Age: 21 Appearance: Gallus's physical qualities are average for any given scout marine. He doesn't physically stand out in any unique ways in terms of physique. He is not extroadinarily tall, nor does he possess extensive amounts of muscle. Gallus is, for all intents and purposes, a "normal" scout marine. What sets Gallus apart is a few easily missed characteristics. His hair is short cut and black, and his eyes are a forest green color. He bears a slight scar across his cheek from an encounter with a beast in his youth. Like many other scout marines, Gallus wears a set of standard issue scout armor. When he is not wearing scout armor Gallus prefers to wear a body glove beneath a plain robe with chapter colors.

Equipment: Standard scout marine armor in chapter colors. Combat knife. Bolt pistol. 1x frag grenade. 1x krak grenade. Advanced magnoculars. (Unlike most magnoculars, Gallus's magnoculars are capable of providing live video feed of what he is seeing to chapter command by syncing with his other communication equipment.) Standard communication equipment. Additional mission-dependent weapons and equipment. Background: Gallus hails from a small death world that boasts a small population of people in comparison to the large population of hostile flora and fauna. Gallus displayed rapt intelligence by managing to actually clear a section of the naturally hostile plant life. After this, he managed to set up and bait traps to catch and kill animals for food. Notably, as Gallus has recounted on occasion, Gallus was baiting a pitfall trap when a beast ambushed him, springing the trap early and catching Gallus's leg within it. The beast tore at Gallus's face, which gave him the scar he keeps upon his cheek. Gallus recounts that he had often preferred to asphyxiate trapped animals instead of simply crushing them so that his cleared "home" would not be tracked by larger animals. However, as he could not free himself to fight the beast on fair terms, he needed to improvise. Gallus caught the beast by the neck as it came to lunge again before promptly bashing it's head into the rock several times. Now with more time to think, Gallus was able to free himself from beneath the rock, but had to abandon the animal as the bloodied corpse was already causing the hostile life nearby to stir. This encounter left Gallus largely crippled, and if it had not been for the lucky recruitment into the Masters of Protelus a few solar days later, he would likely have starved due to his previously trapped leg not healing correctly. The consideration of the situation before advancing has carried over into his life as a scout marine, and Gallus is often found reading over mission primers several times before arranging his equipment to suit the projected needs of the mission. He considers almost every outcome, as well as the weapons the other scouts he is deployed with. By doing this, he frequently avoids having too many of one type of weapon or not enough of another. There have been some small complaints about his seeming refusal to specialize into a weapon, but Gallus counters these complaints by opting to spend his free time practicing with whatever weapons he can request upon that day. To Gallus, being capable of operating with whatever he can get his hands on is one of the most vital skills of a space marine.
Sorry about the double post, but I figured an edit might go missed. Equipment feels like I kinda skimped on it but I wanted to give the idea that Gallus is adaptable and doesn't overly commit to having certain weapons or pieces of equipment on hand since he might having something happen mid-mission or the mission demands might not lend themselves kindly to taking a certain weapon or whatever. Edit: Oh. Wait. I didn't double post. Ha! Anyway.
