Fujidera was too far and Rikuo knew this all too well. He was thankful that dorms were now a thing or else he would have worried about finding somewhere to stay. It just wouldn't work out if he were to commute back and forth. Hell, he didn't even know if he could visit weekly considering the time he'd spent on the move. But, he'll burn that bridge when he got there. It wasn't like his parents were requiring him to visit too. He was rather sure that his parents now had a lot of free time on his hands now that they didn't have to worry about him messing up his room for the nth time per month. It was funny, really, how his parents managed to put up with him. However, they did remind him of how strict Ishin was and how he shouldn't mess around in the dorms - a sentiment he put at the back of his mind. He'd just do what he wanted to do and see where that gets him. He spent one day in a small inn that allowed for him to collect his thoughts and put off some first-day nervousness. It wasn't his first time going to the other side of Japan, but it still was pretty nerve-wracking since he knew that neither of his parents were close enough to call when he needed something. Ah, but you know what? All this pent up nervousness wasn't going to help him. He managed to stave it off by drawing some characters on his notebook and then promptly falling asleep - letting his nervousness slip by as he slept through the night. So, he was refreshed and ready to go when the next day rolled in and he headed straight for Ishin Academy. He remembered some of his friends questioning his choice of going to Ishin without trying out for the more famous UA. Honestly, for all the fame it has, Rikuo actually found the strict and disciplined Ishin to be a breath of fresh air. Even if a lot of people told him that he wasn't exactly the most disciplined of people, Rikuo still thought Ishin was perfect for him. Didn't stand out as much as the rival school but still pumped out excellent heroes. What more could he ask for? He swiftly went through the courtyard, only bothering to look at it for a second and committing it to memory before heading over to the auditorium along with the other students who were filing in. Rikuo headed over to where the first years would be seated and noticed that there was already quite a number talking among themselves. Did they know each other? As he drew closer and heard that they were actually introducing themselves, they might actually just be friendly people who want to get to know their potential classmates. Deciding that perhaps that would be the best course of action, he bounded up and waited for the last one to introduce themselves to finish before following up with his own. He bowed his head. "Watanamiya Rikuo, pleasure to meet y'all." He tried to sound as polite as possible. He didn't want his first impression to be rude and condescending. That would just be wrong, right? Best to make allies and friends in school so it'd be easier when you become a pro-hero right? Though in thinking this, he didn't even bother to hide his Osakan accent - and honestly, he didn't really care about it. After that, however, he distanced himself from the group that were talking among themselves and sat down beside this cat-like person who seemed to be looking down. "Hey." He started, trying to gauge what kind of reply he would get before softly adding, "You alright?" The guy seemed to be crying. Did he hurt himself somehow? Or was there something else in play? Rikuo wasn't insensitive enough to loudly ask about it and he hoped the cat-guy didn't mind his interjection.
