He could think of a few reasons for this. The kid realized that he wasn't going to get answers just from demanding them and wizened up a bit. He lacked the testicular fortitude to continue pressing the issue. He decided to try figuring out the answers for himself rather than trying to be spoon fed every important bit of information he could come across about his new job. These all carried with them their own set of character judgments, some more positive than others, but he'd leave the analysis there and give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being. One other thing about Bart he picked up was squeamishness from simply seeing a significant, but not all that extreme leg wound. And a calf wound at that. Those with soft stomachs usually ended up having a really tough time initially. The things that you happened to see just going through history eyes open, not even looking for them were far, far worse. Bad times ahead for poor Bart. If he got really unlucky, his power would end up being something like making heads explode. It would be a problem if that was actually his power and if manifested uncontrolled. Feeling Alicia suddenly lurch from dizziness, he put in more strength in his grip to support her ability to stand. He didn't want to have to carry her directly into Ville au Camp like a partygoer that had had too much fun that night, but he would if he had to. Or he'd have Bart do it. Although... Gio gave the Paradox another look over. He wasn't all that sure he'd be able to carry her. Didn't seem like the most physically empowered of men. Maybe one of the skills that was thrust upon him was weight lifting. But that was all auxiliary thoughts. The primary goal was to as Alicia so eloquently put it: get the fuck out of here. Not bothering with looking for a doorway or similar such gateway this time (traveling through time and space being somewhat more uncomfortable and jarring was something Bart could deal with), Gio dug into his pocket with his free hand. He produced the Watch and promptly opened up a time portal on a nearby wall. Once the way out was open, he'd help his injured mark and naive ward make their way back to Camp.
