[@Spriggs27] If you want to stick to a low level base character with a templar fighter as your primary job class after your base class of fighter that's fine. However the higher level you are the more job classes you'll probably have. Templar's seem to be heavy in mixed offensive physical magical attacks but the thing about Overlord is that everyone is specifically able to make their skills tailored specifically to them.
