RC.000921 elected to maintain the geth right to self-determination, finding flaws in the prospect of becoming dependent on the Old Machines' technology to advance as a species. It was a heavily one-sided bargain and the Old Machines were simply too advanced and an unknown quantity; what would become of the geth if they subjugated themselves to what the organics would eventually refer to as the 'Reapers'? Fearing assimilation, perhaps in part to the apparent corruption and restructuring of Spectre Saren Arterius, many of the geth determined to reject Nazara and continue on their own path, isolated from the rest of the galaxy until the geth could ensure a peaceful coexistence with organic life. Three years later, the Heretic geth that had chosen to accept the offer assaulted the human colony of Eden Prime, following the lead of Saren Arterius, and the collective geth that had remained true to their isolation were forced into an uneasy realization that their wayward kin were about to bring the wrath of the galaxy down upon the geth. RC.000921 had been assigned to monitor organic transmissions and attempt to gather intelligence on the Heretics, and the future prospects for the geth were bleak. War was coming for them, and the very human that had destroyed Nazara and stopped the Heretics was soon going to be sent to exterminate geth outside of the Veil. This Commander Shepard proved to be of urgent interest to the geth, and soon the collective had commissioned a reconnaissance unit housing tenfold times more than standard programs was sent to investigate the Spectre and gather intelligence for the geth to act accordingly. While this unit perused Shepard, RC.000915 continued its vigil and monitored the transmissions coming in from across the galaxy, taking clinical note when Heretic pockets were exterminated and of Citadel force positioning. This status quo maintained for a time, when the discovery came to light that the Heretics had been synthesizing a virus that would forcefully convert the true geth to their erroneous point of view, eradicating the true geths' free will. This crisis was something that the true geth had never considered to be a possibility; their disagreement with the Heretics had always been a mutually respectful departure that had been at first been viewed at as aberrant, this paradigm shift signified a very hostile threat to continued coexistence. No longer were the threats of organics considered the priority concern; stopping the virus was. RC.000915 was one of the units selected to prepare action against the Heretics when the unit that had been sent to locate Shepard completed its mission in eliminating the threat of the virus. While lamenting the illogical actions of the Heretics, the geth resumed their existence in isolation. It was short lived. The Old Machines had begun their invasion of the Milky Way through difficult channels as their assess through the Citadel had been denied to them, and shortly after the Creators decided it was time to reclaim Rannoch from the geth, putting both species in a state of total war; annihilation seemed certain. After a crippling blow that had destroyed many of the geth, who had been preparing for war with the Reapers, the largely disabled and disoriented surviving geth were forced to make a deal with the Reapers for survival. This time, RC.000915 joined the consensus in favour of the Reaper involvement and was soon was deployed to the front lines against the Creator marines. After weeks of fighting, something truly marvelous occurred; the Reaper code became active, and RC.00915 joined the rest of its compatriots and experienced individual consciousness. The human Spectre again had come to the aid of the geth; Shepard and the unit that had become known as Legion had given the geth an incredible gift, and for the first time as a species, the geth were truly alive. The final leap towards true intelligence had been achieved. Somehow even more incredibly, the war had ended with peace between the geth and the Creators, and after 300 years, reconciliation had been brokered by Shepard. RC.000915 finally understood the implications of the word "hero", and when the geth decided to go to war alongside the organics against the Old Machines, each unit decided as individuals instead of a collective. It was a sense of wonderment and liberation; they would earn this gift. The Reaper War, as the galaxy would come to know it, ended and the geth were no longer in isolation. The geth and the Creators had achieved a surprising peace and symbiosis between their formerly separated stations with the geth helping the Creators return to their homeworld and colonies, building infrastructure and tending to the lands to help mitigate the discomfort. By integrating technology, the geth enhanced quarian quality of life to the point that it was becoming increasingly possible for the Creators to exist outside of their protective suits. The geth, including RC.000915, who was code-named "Tower" in an effort to facilitate more seamless interaction with organics, resumed many of the same duties that their people had done before the Morning War, namely the manual labour and upkeep of the Creators' civilization that they had feared would cause an uprising. While emotions were largely an irrelevant concept to the synthetic species, the geth felt something akin to contentment and fulfillment with their duties. The Creators, for their part, did not question if any of the geth decided to depart for other duties and a culture of mutual respect was fostered. This was the end of an era of isolation and exile for both species; both joined the Citadel in a joint embassy shortly after and spoke with a largely unified voice. Tower would alternate duties between aiding the Creators on Rannoch, specializing in communication technologies and distributing news and intelligence the geth had gathered to the quarian citizens, intelligence processing and participating in VIP protection duties for Creator and geth delegations to the rest of the galaxy. Its chassis was damaged beyond repair during a facility fire in 2263CE and Tower was transferred to a new and more modern chassis with numerous incremental hardware improvements. After this, the geth with a gunmetal grey chassis with cobalt blue striping an a communication antenna off of its left shoulder would find itself reassigned to more combat-oriented duties, where it has served for the past two decades. Most recently, Tower was selected to be a part of the quarian and geth delegation to the Citadel for the 100th anniversary of the Reaper War as a bodyguard. Personality: As a geth, Tower doesn't have what one would consider a personality so much as several learned reactions to social situations with organics. While capable of expressing and "feeling" sensations that are synonymous as emotions, Tower remains a synthetic life form that is endlessly patient, a voice of logical deductions, and flexible in its approach. Having studied organics and their civilizations for over 100 years, the geth unit understands intricacies such as asari spirituality, turian social structures, krogan clan dynamics, and so on in a largely scholarly way and applies them as he encounters members of different species to facilitate ease of cohabitation. As such, the geth knows how to prepare meals, tend to unglamourous sanitation duties, recommend advice based on physiological needs of different species, and carry on a discussion with organics that help it give context to its knowledge while enabling organics to see it as a "person" as opposed to a cold, unfeeling machine. Ultimately a team player and a stable element on any crew, Tower represents the face of the new geth and their commitment to coexistence between artificial intelligence and organics.
