[sup][i]The Paladin was a class of soldier developed to for close combat and to act as an almost human tank for the Alliance military. It saw minimal use during the Reaper Invasion but in the past hundred years has seen much wider application due to it's effectiveness in combat. It's omni-tool featuring a large shield rather than a the blade that Commander Shepard famously defeated the traitor Kai Leng with.[/i][/sup]

When behind it, ammunition can be replenished and shields regenerated quicker. Anything touching it from the from the front becomes electrocuted. In addition, it can be deployed at waist height or full height. However at full height the users shields are depleted and will not regenerate until the barricade is removed.[/i][/color][/indent]

[indent][color=000000]►[/color] [color=cc7777][i]A swarm of nano-bots controlled a VI that is capable of disrupting enemies technology whether it be their weapons, armour or shields. Weapons jam, shield malfuction and armour degrades. The swarm spreads from enemies in close proximity much like a plague. When an enemies reaches a critical condition the nano-bots cause an explosion.[/i][/color][/indent]

Some people are born with everything given to them, others have to crawl through the muck just to give themselves an outside chance of success. Robert very much comes from the latter category. He was born in a slum on Earth to two drug addicted parents and it was a miracle that he survived child birth. Before his fifth birthday he was rescued after his parents were found overdosed on a park bench. This meant Rob ended up going through the foster care system for the next ten years. 

The system was flawed and unfortunately the young lad was passed around from family to family, so much so that he had no appreciation for himself or others. He descended into a life of criminal activity that ranged from petty theft up to burglary. A week before his eighteenth birthday he was finally arrested and the judge made him an offer. Either go to prison or join the military. The judge had seen his history and took pity on his poor start to life. Robert reluctantly joined the Alliance military.

The initial few months were difficult both for him and for those training him. Several altercations are listed in his file and one report called for his immediate imprisonment. Fortunately for him the call for imprisonment was ignored and he was allowed to complete basic training. By time he had finished his training he had an epiphany and that was that he had finally found somewhere he called home. He was surrounded by people who supported him and wanted the best for him as well as having a place to lay his head at night.

The years that followed sent him from colony to colony on peacekeeping and anti-piracy duty, seeing some small skirmishes in his service. He progressed through the ranks and classifications the Alliance had to offer and coveted the longed for rank of N7. He was more than qualified and from his service more than proved himself, however the person who had filed the report calling for his imprisonment couldn't forget his early days of training. Using his more senior position he did all he could to stop Rob from becoming an N7 operative. While his attempts to stop him never succeeded in their entirety, they put Robert back several years. 

He eventually achieved his goal and became an N7 operative. During his time as an N7 he has been responsible for bringing down large criminal gangs, wiping our pirate incursions into Alliance space and defeating a variety of other foes. Most recently there have been whispers of a possible offer to become a Council Spectre, however that has yet to materialise.

Not the typical person you'd take for a military man, Robert is relaxed and approachable almost always with a look of mischief spread across his face. He is a deeply caring and emotional person who wears his heart on his sleeve. He likes to go out and enjoy himself when time allows for it and is a very social person. With extended downtime he travels the galaxy looking to find the best vistas and views the Milky Way has to offer.

Where there were conflicts amongst races and grudges held prior to the Reaper invasion, Rob has no issues with any other race and keeps friends from all over the galaxy. He can work with anyone when required and will always look to take the friendly approach with others.

When it comes to his job however, he is entirely focussed and efficient at what he does. He commands respect and has an aura about him that makes others feel confident in themselves and the mission being undertaken. The jokes and banter he revels in is left behind and makes way for the precise and effective leadership his position requires. He will happily throw himself into the firing line to save a squadmate or civilian. He has a lot of confidence in his own talents and skillset that should not be mistaken for cockiness. He knows his strengths and even more so his weaknesses.
