As such he received his father's name and was expected to walk in the direct footsteps of his father. From the moment Harry first opened his eyes to the world three sets of eyes were always watching and caring for him. Those were of his mother, his older sister, and rather than his father, Harry's uncle, seemed to care more about the boy. To clarify there was no scandalous reasoning to this. It's just that Harvey believed he had better things to do than worry over some little tot with his name. As Harry grew, he quickly understood this harsh reality of who his father was. A man who only cared about what society thought of him and winning anything brought before him. Harry gave his father excuses instead of the other way around. The man was one of the partners of a major law firm in the US. He had no time to take his children to the park or kiss them goodnight or read them bedtime stories. In his place though came Harry's hero. Uncle Gus was the one who watched over the tiny scamp whenever Amira was ill or had things to do. Harry desired to be the kind of man his Uncle was. The type of man who seemed to do as he pleased. A member of a local jazz band as well as a freeform artist (graffiti artist). Unfortunately, an accident happened which caused the man to be unable to walk. He also could no longer play the saxophone because of not being able to get enough breath to play. It didn't take long for any money the man had saved up to run dry. Harry would beg his father to help Uncle Gus, but each time the man would respond by saying, "He made his choices." and nothing more. Harry couldn't understand why his father wouldn't help his own brother, but Gus, just like Harry, gave Harvey excuses as to why. From then on Harry decided he would be a better man than his father. Helping those less fortunate. Harry wasn't the perfect kid by any means, but he sought to help those less fortunate in any way he could. Harry became attached to those he helped. Especially the girl who he'd practically went everywhere with since Rising Sun. When high school was over, Harry convinced his mom to help him escape his father as well as provide tuition for both he and his girlfriend. Harry wanted this so he could explore who he was away from the overbearing presence of Harvey. At first the young man wanted to see if there was something for him other than law, but eventually, younger Harvey decided on attending Emory Law School. He hadn't expected it, but he fell in love with the world inside the courtroom. After graduating the two took separate paths and Harry found himself back home joining his father's law firm. A few years later, and Harry's first as well as only girlfriend rejoined his life. One thing led to another, and suddenly the two were engaged. It was almost as if they had picked up right where they had left off and Harry just went along for the ride.
