Descended from one of the original creators of the first Geth platforms the family stood by their unpopular opinions all throughout the conflict between Creators and their creation. The opinion that the responsibility for the Geth rebelling and ultimately turning on their creators, lied on the Quarians more so than on the Geth themselves. The Geth were like children, who needed guidance and help to find their place in the existence. And the Quarians’ paranoia and fear led them to abandon their marvelous creation. Lost without their Creators’ input, feared and shunned without any particular reason, the Geth acted in kind. For these very unpopular opinions Zarti’s family was exiled from the Migrant Fleet, never to return. And so the family forged onwards on their own. Trying wherever they went to breech the gap between parent and child. Convincing both Geth and Quarian to come to understanding. One unit and person at a time. It wasn’t an easy life. Especially with the current political situation and the Reapers threat looming over the galaxy. But the family soldiered on, creating a small unit of sympathizers along the way. Both Geth and Quarian. And when peace was finally brokered between Creator and creation with the help of Commander Shepard, those sympathizers lobbied for the family’s pardon and subsequent reintegration on the home world. And it was on Rannoch, the Quarians’ ancestral home world that Zarti was born. In time of peace and unity between Quarians and Geth. The once essential practice of the Pilgrimage had lost some of its original functions, but was still alive in the sense of a coming of age sort of ritual. And with the help of the Geth the Quarians have managed little by little to sever their dependency on their enviro-suits. They were still used on ships, in space, as military tactical wear, as well as on planets with unfriendly atmosphere, but overall, they were a thing of the past. When it came time for Zarti to undertake her Pilgrimage at twenty-three, she joined the Quarian/Geth relief and rehabilitation program. It was designed to repair any lingering ill notions about the Geth throughout the galaxy. As there was still a lot of resentment and discontent even during this time of piece. The horrors of war were not easily healed. Zarti joined a small team of Quarian and Geth operatives known as the Phantom Guardians. Their mission was to seek out trouble and resolve it in the most efficient of ways. In and out. No compensation needed. Gratefulness was always appreciated though, when given. All in an effort to improve the image of the once warring Quarians and Geth. Within the Guardians Zarti grew to be a capable individual. A natural-born leader, skilled pilot and reliable soldier. A few years into being part of the Guardians, the group received a summons. A Quarian VIP's shuttle was apparently attacked by unknown faction, grounding it before it could take off. The VIP was apprehended after their security detail was neutralized one way or the other. The Guardians were instructed to make planetfall and meet up with one of the surviving members of the VIP security squad. Get debriefed and work together to rescue the VIP. Upon landing Zarti and her squad met with a Geth platform, designation RC.000921-2180-Rf.2263, or Tower for simplicity sake. Tower gave the Guardians a very detailed information as to what had transpired and joined Zarti's team to ultimately rescue the VIP. After the successful end to the rescue operation the Guardians and Tower parted ways, but the joint operation became known on the homeworld as yet example of Geth and Quarians working well together. To this day the Guardians still don’t know who was behind the attack on the Quarian VIP. Personality: Zarti is an inquisitive individual. She is curious about the mysteries of the universe and can ponder them for hours upon end. When her head is not in the clouds she is a very down to earth accepting individual. She is willing to give everyone and all the benefit of the doubt, having learned the lessons of her ancestors. She never takes things at face value and always tries to look for the deeper meaning and the hidden truth. She is easy to talk to and connect with as she is a good listener. Creatures from all walks of life gravitate naturally towards her as they feel at ease in her presence. She will always try to find a kind word, give positive encouragement, or help in any way she can. She does have a cheeky sense of humor and can be playful when she’s in the mood. But the warm, welcoming young woman is what you’ll most likely get upon first meeting her. For even she leaves bits of her for only those special people in her life.
