The Librarian

"Fucking Millennials." Harry groaned, standing up from the bar stool and taking a few steps forward towards the hunter, retrieving his knife from his waist as he did so. However, rather than make any move of aggression towards the woman, he simply stepped past her and used the blade to make an incision on his hand. After re-sheathing the blade he yawned a bit and began to draw surprisingly intricate designs on the doorway that well read mages would notice to be a triggered curse. He murmured a few words under his breath in a language no present company would recognize. Then, he took a step back and admired his handiwork; a light shimmering of a barrier could be seen envelope the building. With a wide smile, he turned back to the Huntress and the rest of the creatures in the bar. "There, now everyone here has a mirror curse placed upon them. If anyone dies, we all die." He said cheerfully with a smile that suggested this was an obvious solution to the problem at hand. "Excluding me of course, I won't die." He explained gleefully. "Now!" He exclaimed with a clap, talking a few slow, graceful steps towards the Huntress and begin to slowly walk circles around her. "The rules have remained the same for nearly three centuries now." He said slowly, in his lightly accented drawl. "If a hunter wishes to visit, hunt, or in any way maintain physical form within Grayvette, they are required to come straight to the Stein Estate and inform the active Librarian of their presence and intentions." He paused, than walked to the bar, and hopped onto to the counter to crouch, and point simultaneously at both of the hunters. "But I'm sure you guys are exceptional cases right? Or perhaps you were lost on your way to my Estate?" He offered, switching his focus from the woman to the man, and back. "Because otherwise, I'd have to believe that you are knowingly violating the Stein-Hunter Neutrality Accords, thereby making you a hostile element to my Library. It would also mean that no hunter would be allowed to make a move to save you, nor attempt to avenge you after your untimely deaths." He paused for a minute, allowing what he said to sink in. Maybe it'd shake a memory in one of them, after all, most hunters knew about the Librarian of Grayvette, and just how happy he was to help their causes. "But lucky for you, we're in my favorite bar, and the bartender isn't fond of my violent streak. So, out of respect for Rebecca, I will let you announce yourself to me here! Unless of course, you intend to violate the accords, in which case no bartender could save you." He continued, smiling wildly at the both of them. "Simply give me your name and inform me of what creature you're intending to hunt, and I'll be happy to provide you with any assistance you may need, unless they are creatures being protected by the Stein Family of course." He finished, awaiting a response.
