There were visions that were sent by the Force, often messy and indecipherable, stressful and unkind. Then there were visions that invoked a specific emotion, for instance, longing... or regret. The canteen had slid from beneath him like a snatched rug, distorting the grimy pub into a memory. One that he had locked and buried away in the deepest, blackest parts of his mind. Only the Force could have drug it up, made him feel again. His heart sped yet his face remained stoic as he grasped for straws. The song and Ode- the mistake from his past-snaked their way into his heart and yet, Snoke had taught him plenty, taught him to stay mercy and hesitance with the Dark Side when needed. One of those times were now. He filled his heart with a suffocating sooth while observing the scene. Vibrant grass swayed at the edge of a familiar lake, a single tree, sturdy and crooked provided shade. A young blonde girl sung a hopeful song, to a foolish boy. Her song was echoed by a youthful duet further in time. A soft moment shared beneath a starry sky, warmed by a campfire. Kylo frowned, scowled really, at the farce. Surely it was the vestiges of Snoke's ploy. Another reminder of his failures. Garbed in his shadowy cloak, he lost face, seeing the apparition of Odette... of his once-upon-of-treasure. My mistake... Kill the past. Slowly he stood up from his chair. He looked around, this vision was stronger than the one cast by Snoke, the lake and grass was visible all around him. With a twang of menace, Kylo tossed back his hood, a smooth snarl on his cold, pale features. "What is this? whose work is this ... Luke's? no, Leia's." He thought less of his mother after a pause. It would have been impossible for her to put such a feat to action. Across time and space, using a memory she had never heard of or seen. Never. Impossible. A heavy feeling shook his soul, cracked his facade, bringing a noticeable confusion to his face. "Odd?" Anguish washed over him. ♫
