He was rich, that Sofie could guess. He was also quite close to his family and didn't feel shy to proclaim his love to them, something fairly uncommon in people of their age. She mulled this over as he went out of the room. "You don't want to know what was on this thing. Anyway, what about your parents? What do they do?" Sofie wanted to avoid talks of her parents as much as possible and now she'd been stupid enough to give him an opening. She'd have to lie and hope he didn't catch her out on it. "They run a small bakery, I'm here on a scholarship." She avoided his eyes as she said it, mentally berating herself for doing so. She had already lied so much in the past to seasoned professionals yet now in the presence of a spoiled teen boy she could not even look him in the eye while she said it. Sofie was out of practice, she reasoned to herself as she stood up. She was done with her cleaning.
