The 'crippled' comment did achieve a reaction, though, a slight twitch of the head, and an even more intense glare. Paige caught Lynette's signal, and logically, she knew that Lynette was right, continuing in this way clearly wasn't going to help. But logic wasn't exactly Paige's thought process right now. She'd forgotten the assumption she'd made about Andrea's fate was only an assumption, and right now all she wanted was for Sharon to suffer. But then she realised something. And that was why, when Penny invited her outside, she accepted that offer, but not without a final comment. "You know what? Fine. You're obviously one of us, so feel free to stay behind. Then Scott will find you, and you'll get what you deserve without any of us having to lift a finger." And with that, Paige turned and left alongside Penny. [hr] Hillview High was quite the place. Undoubtedly quite the horror show, if the bleakness and decrepitness of the building were anything to go by. "Good call," murmured Paige when Britney told them she'd brought the flashlightss, maybe loud enough for her to hear, maybe not. Her heart wasn't really in it as she awkwardly bent over to take a flashlight - left hand holding that, right hand holding her crutch; hopefully that wouldn't be a problem - even though she'd calmed down since the farm, she still wasn't happy. Regardless, she didn't voice her feelings, just staying quiet as the group entered the eerie building. And, of course, they immediately came across something utterly disturbing. Reading the graffiti made Piage feel extremely uncomfortable, with that creeping kind of fear, not the kind that screams at you to run the other way or you'll die, but the kind that whispers to you so that the thing that's causing it doesn't hear, telling you to get away quickly and quietly, before you wake up something... worse. "What's it mean? Well, to anyone with any kind of survival instinct, it means 'Run away as fast as possible'. To us, I'd imagine it means something more like 'Good job guys! You're on the right track'." Maybe sarcasm wasn't the most helpful thing in the world right now, but the fact remained that they didn't know enough to make sense of this anyway, so it would only waste time to try shooting in the dark. That was, unless Britney knew something. Some of the others had mentioned she seemed to know a lot about what was going on with no explanation, and even Paige admitted she seemed to be acting a bit, well, off.
