The allure of the big city is vast and with the aggressive campaigning by the Zanco Corporation, even the likes of the rural landscape near Happy Harbor cannot escape it. Large billboards promoting Crescent City litter the fields as Happy Harbor is reminded of the constant struggle between modernization and tradition that it has always faced. The Starshine Spring has dried up and gone silent, a terrible fate for once a prestigious attraction. Mayor Greene worries for the future while Zanco and others offer to ‘help’ them with their particular problem. Will they take the money and hope for the best or actually work to return Happy Harbor to its former glory? and is there a way to bring the spring back to life? What is the significance of the spring? Can the new residents help? This sleepy rural town still has fragments of hope, but will it be enough? Only time will tell.
