He didn't say a word for he had nothing to say. His thoughts however were numerous and constant, rampaging through his mind like a stampede. There were some who preferred to empty their mind before a serious event, but Desmond was the opposite. He found that by letting his mind run rampant he could push out all distraction when he fought, his mind exhausted to do anything else. The location of their stray was hardly surprising. Humans' industrial sectors were ugly and crude, much like the stray devils have now become. Desmond took the privilege of stepping out of the vehicle and opening Alice's door for her, since Alphonse had been the driver. It was hard for him not to glare at the guard. How useless he was for not keeping a more watchful eye over his employer's property. Laziness seemed to be a quality all to prevalent in humanity. Once Alice left the vehicle, Desmond would fall in close behind. Diplomacy was certainly not his forte and when he tried, it often came out as a threat than a proposal. The citizens of Seattle were lucky to have them here to protect them from threats such as this. Everything waited on Alice and Alphonse's mark.
