Ehri Khan

[sup][@Athol][@Arthanus][/sup]
Although the meat Ehri was bringing to the stable wasn't coming from a fresh kill, both Misha and Isa felt it's smell from far away. Just as Ehri entered the stable, she was greeted by Isa running towards her, with her eyes fixed on the piece of meat Ehri had on her hand. Just as the big wolf got near Ehri, she raised her hand, making Isa miss the meat by inches. "Very funny, Isa..." Ehri said to her as Isa circled around her a few times before giving up and simply following Ehri as she walked inside. Isa wasn't the only one hungry, as just after that small show by Isa, Misha came flying, landing on ehri's shoulders as she walked. While Ehri knew they preferred eating from a fresh kill, that piece of meat was still decently fresh, even for an inn, and they certainly wouldn't protest. Ehri could smell the meat as she walked, her already enhanced senses coupled with Misha and Isa's senses, their hunger Ehri could almost feel the taste of meat on her mouth. For most other people who weren't from the Old Blood clan, that was one of the aspects that made them fear or show prejudice towards them. The skinchangers, those who inherited the blood from the first men, shared not only senses and thoughts with their animals, but instincts as well. It wasn't that uncommon to see a skinchanger partaking from a fresh kill together with their animals. Some only took small bites to sate the feral hunger coming from the link with the animals, others choose a more... primal, feral approach. But nonetheless, seeing a hunter with it's mouth dirty with fresh blood and raw meat on it's mouth is still a rather terrifying sight to people who already fear and dislike those from the clan. As Ehri unsheathed her khopesh, cutting the big piece of meat in two big pieces and a smaller one, tossing the two big pieces to Isa and Misha and getting the smaller piece to herself. She was alone with her beasts at the stable, so it was highly improbable that someone saw her eating that raw meat. It wasn't like it was as bad as if someone saw her taking a piece from a fresh kill, but it was still suspicious, and drawing more unwanted attention was the last thing Ehri needed. With two swift and agile bites, the small piece that she had cut for herself was nowhere to be seen. That taste, albeit it was rather... dull compared to the food she ate normally at an in, there was still a small part of her that felt... satisfied with that small treat. It wasn't the same thing than feeling the ferrous and warm taste of blood after cutting a piece from a fresh kill together with her beasts but it was still something.Fortunately or maybe unfortunately, just as she put the last piece on her mouth, chewing it, a knock on the door interrupted her, making her gulp it down immediately. She was so distracted with her own thoughts and watching both animals eating that she didn't realize a strange smell getting closer or the sound of steps. After cleaning her mouth with a discreet but agile movement, she turned to see who had arrived. It was Alm, one of the other members from the Irregulars. Ehri simply nodded to him after she saw him. The man, instead of simply walking in the stable, choose to stay at the door. It was probably the correct thing to do. Both Misha and Isa were currently eating, and while both of them made no movement, Isa's stare was fixed at Alm, watching every movement he made as she continued eating the meat voraciously. Misha on the other hand, opened it's wings around his piece of meat, protecting it. As Alm started to bombard Ehri with questions, she silently listened, looking at him with a curious expression. instead of being disgusted or claiming that she was either an animal herself or something else, Ehri could simply see his curiosity behind his questions. It was... rare for someone to approach her with such intentions. "Yes. I am one of the few who possess the blood of the first men. It is old, forgotten knowledge. It's magic from the first men, dating since the dawn of mankind. Most think of it as... feral or... unsightly... A lot of it is tied to our blood and our heritage." Ehri said, with inquisitive eyes trying to test Alm's curiosity to see if it was real, if he really had an open mind and wanted to know more about her clan or if he would simply reject her and the Old Blood Clan's culture and history. Before Ehri could say anything more though, another person approached the stable. Ehri remembered her, she was Isbeil, she was also one of the newcomers who introduced herself the other day. Drawing attention wasn't anything new to Ehri, but having people actually searching for her instead of avoiding her was something new. "Don't worry, you're not interrupting. I suppose you overheard what I was talking with Alm." Ehri asked, letting out a very discreet smile. She was honestly a bit happy that they wanted to understand who Ehri was. As Ehri's posture became a bit more relaxed, so did Misha and Isa's. Even though Isa still sometimes sent penetrating stares towards Alm and the new arrival, almost if she was saying for them to not try anything funny. "Misha and Isa finished eating. You can get in now. She won't do anything unless you do something first." Ehri said, turning to Isa as she raised an eyebrow, making the big female wolf huff with a low growl, resembling an unsatisfied sigh as Misha simply looked to the female wolf and let out a low cry, almost if he was chuckling. As you watched Ehri interacting with both animals, it was like their feelings were a bit more... apparent. Almost like if being together with Ehri and that link that she talked made Ehri a bit more beast like and the beasts more human like.
