[indent]April was born in the beginnings of a legacy that would one day become one of the top names in formula one racing. Jamie Foster, April’s father, started from humble beginnings in amateur track racing and by the time April was born, had risen up the ranks into the international scene. Because of this, he was frequently away from home and April was mainly raised by her mother, Alyssa. While James was away, Alyssa was still working her full-time job as an accountant and often left April with a babysitter just to be able to keep her head above water.

Fast forward ten years into April’s life and her father had finally retired from racing full-time, earning enough money passively from the commercialization of his name. April had learned to love her father despite having seen him very little throughout her life, looking up to him like he was her hero. She spent every waking moment with him in the garage, “helping” him whenever he worked on his cars. April grew to love the garage as she grew older and older, and it drove her mother crazy. All of Alyssa’s effort to raise April and now her own daughter adored her father more than herself.

On April’s twelfth birthday, her mother divorced her father and left, leaving the two of them alone for a man she’d been seeing in secret. Driven by the spur of the moment, her father decided that they’d be moving. That same night. To a place halfway across the country. That place?
