Humans are the only available race at character creation, and every player character shares the same set of basic attributes:

Strength (STR): Determines the character's carrying capability, ability to use certain weapons, damage of melee attacks and recoil reduction.
Agility (AGI): Determines the character's reaction time, evasive skills and movement speed.
Endurance (END): Determines the character's maximum hit points and stamina.
Perception (PER): Determines the range and precision of the character's sight and hearing.
Luck (LCK): Determines the quality and quantity of loot acquired from mobs and treasures.
At the 1st Level, all characters have a certain number of points that they can assign freely to these attributes. Whenever additional levels are acquired, players get extra points to assign as they wish or a general boost to all attributes at once. Aside from this point-based progression, the other main options to customize a character are through skills, equipment, and the most distinctive of Gun Burst Online's progression systems, Specs. For the purposes of this story, only the later three matter. All of the other attributes and stats don't need to be included in the Character Sheets. Some guidelines for the character creation process follow below: Gun Burst Online offers a wide variety of equipment and weaponry that can be acquired through random drops, merchants or crafted by the players themselves. From leisure wear and protective gear to nearly any kind of weapon ever produced and some who have yet to be designed, Gun Burst has it all. From a gameplay point of view, equipment is divided into a few broad categories and some sub-categories. The most prominent of which are exemplified below:

Combat Gear and Leisure Wear: Items that your character can dress up and or wear fall into this category. From t-shirts and jeans to bulletproof vests, exoskeletons, and everything in between.
Weapons: Gun Burst boasts one of the widest selections of firearms and other weaponry on gaming history. Pretty much any tool of killing ever devised is available for those who know where to search for them. There are even rumors about advanced science fiction weapons that can be acquired under special circumstances. For simplicity's sake, they are divided into a number of sub-categories:

Melee, Handguns, Sub-Machineguns, Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Rifles, Machineguns, Explosives, and Exotic

Consumables: Any type of item with limited uses like medkits, grenades, keycards, ammunition, etc. Usually, these make the literal bulk of any character's inventory. For the intent of this RP, you don't need to list every single item your character is carrying (especial ammunition), just make a note of the most important ones and apply some narrative sense while using anything that's not listed.
Other: Anything that doesn't fit with the categories above, like cosmetic items, drones, personal vehicles, personal housing, etc. Just as a side note, players are prohibited to bring anything that they can't carry to the tournament, this means that pretty much all kinds of vehicles are banned since anything as large as a motorcycle and beyond can't be stored in a player's inventory.
As long as it falls within these categories, pretty much any kind of item will be permitted for player characters. That said, advanced science fiction items (energy weapons, personal force field generators, power armor, etc.) are very rare in the game so the number of players who can own them will be very limited. I reserve the right to ask a player to tweak or remove any piece of equipment that may be disruptive to the game, regardless of its power or functions. Skills are optional character abilities that represent the players' aptitude with various non-combat related tasks as well as their aptitude with each main weapons group, except for Exotic weapons, which require a unique Skill mastery for each of them. While every Gun Burst Online character can try to do any in-game task, the rate of success and efficiency of such actions depend on the character's skill levels. Skills ranks range from 0 to 1000; the only way to raise them is through repeated usage, learning new and more complicated tasks with every new rank. However, real-world experience can speed up the skill-mastering process significantly. For the purpose of this roleplay, all characters can begin the game with two maxed combat-related skills, plus 3000 skill points to assign freely between any other skills as they see fit. You don't need to assign all the points; in case you leave any unassigned points, you can just lump them all together as "Others" in the skill section. This means that your character has a wider range of usable skills but none of them will have an especially high ranking. Some examples of skills include:

Weapon Skills, Martial Arts, First Aid, Stealth, Bladesmithing, Piloting, Gunsmithing, Salvaging, Mining, Fishing, etc.
There are also many rumors about Darks Skills, infamous, some even say illegal, Skills that aren't listed on a character's information page, even on external character databases. No one knows whether or not there's any truth to these stories but it doesn't forbid many players from pursuing them through any means necessary. The most unique of all of Gun Burst Online's progression systems. Specs allow you to customize your character even further beyond what's permitted by Skills and Equipment, making sure that no two player characters will ever be equal to one another unless it's a conscious choice of their players. Every character receives one at Level 01 plus one more when they reach Level 15 and every 15 levels after that, for a maximum total of 07 Specs (1, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90). Just like with Skills, the number of Specs available is staggering high, no one is aware of their exact number but many educated guesses estimate some 500 and 1500 unique Specs, most of which are yet to be discovered by the players. Some examples of Specs include: include:

Improved Speed: Improves your character's movement speed. Can be taken multiple times.
Improved Reflexes: Improves your character's reaction time. Can be taken multiple times.
Improved Strength: Improves your character's strength, allowing them to carry heavier loads, deal more damage with melee attacks and bows, etc. Can be taken multiple times.
Guts: Once every 24 hours, your character can survive one attack that would otherwise kill them, with 10% hit points regardless of how many they had before the attack. Can be taken multiple times, but it doesn't allow for more than one user within the same day. Instead, it'll increase the regained hit points by 10% for each extra time you select this spec.
Far Shot: The maximum range of your ranged attacks is improved. Can be taken multiple times.
Fast Aim: You can aim your attacks faster.
Standing Shot: You can shoot heavy weaponry (anti-materiel rifles, rocket launchers, etc.) while standing without any penalties to your accuracy.
Iron Fist: Improves the damage of your unarmed attacks. Can be taken multiple times.
Etc....
If you are in doubt about whether or not an ability qualifies for this, please ask.
