When Fauus was tested and found to be capable of manifesting Biotic powers, he was assigned to a Cabal that specialized in target elimination. As such, all of his powers and training revolved around crippling and removing targets from play, typically for good, and he tends to prefer to operate at mid to long range. Despite this preference, he is still a capable of handling himself in hand to hand, the Nightshade Gauntlets that are issued to Cabal forces, coupled with the hand to hand training that goes along with them, giving him an extra edge. Typically, most enemy forces do not take kindly to one of their own being eliminated, and Fauus has learned how to manipulate his biotic abilities, coupled with natural agility, to not be where the enemy wants him to be. Whether he is being actively attacked, or escaping an area, pinning the Turian down is tricky at best. Between augmenting the usual dodging and rolling with Biotic teleportation, focus, and capture evasion training, actually holding the Cabal Adept against his will is an unlikely affair. He has also learned how to go about extracting information from captured enemies, either through interrogation or outright torture, however the latter has to be often taken with some care. After all, sometimes a prisoner will say anything just to get the pain to stop. His upbringing was relatively boring, right up to the point where his capabilities as a Biotic were discovered by mandated testing, attributed to the increase of eezo exposure across the planet from the failing engines of Turian space craft destroyed in the initial repulsion of Reaper forces. It had been noted that Digeris, compared to other colonies, produced more Biotics than was typical, and the Turian government had kept a close eye on the planet for that reason. As such, he was hand picked at an early age for additional training and surgery prior to the normal age for military service by Turians, that being at the age of 15. Once Fauus had undergone the necessary implant surgeries, and initial Biotic training, he was turned over for more conventional training during his boot camp. Boot camp was stressful, owing to the divide his potential powers created, but he had been prepared well enough before hand. While he did not make any real name or distinction for himself, he was handed over to a Cabal after his basic training. They would handle further refining his powers and abilities, being Biotics themselves, and with his Cabal was one of the only places he ever really felt at home at. His initial training, while broad, narrowed down the fact he was at his most potent, and comfortable, wielding powers that only ever targeted a single being. Coupled with his aptitude in evading his peers, he was a natural for assignments requiring focused removal of singular targets. Many of Fauus' Cabal assignments are classified, what was committed to records at any rate, though he does claim that many pirates, mercenaries, and the like were eliminated and manipulated by his Cabal's actions. From pirate raiding, intercepting illicit cargo, and even interfering with the races that opposed the Turian Government's goals, which often fell in line with that of the Citadel Council. Rumor is that he was even tasked with assisting a Spectre during his operations and investigation, though the outcome of that mission is buried under enough black ink to drown most sentient beings. Despite not being at liberty to discuss most of the details, it is a time he is proud of and remembers fondly. The Cabal eventually was split up, members reassigned or retired to the Reserves to lead a civilian life. Fauus had no real interest or desire to serve with another Cabal, having bonded greatly with the original dozen Turian Biotics that had made up his first, and only, Cabal, instead choosing to operate as an independent agent for the needs of the Turian people. This often led to assignment to operations and missions that needed the extra power a Biotic could lend, or where there was suspected trouble where he could provide enough weight to tip the scale back in the favor of his people and their allies. As such, while many times he finds it odd where he ends up, he is still a Cabal trained adept of the Turian military and will do what is necessary to complete any mission put before him. Personality Having been isolated from the majority of his peers at a young age, Fauus is very much not one for social situations. With allies, he is vague and only as honest as he sees as necessary, which can come across both as insulting as well as distrustful, as he consistently withholds any information he deems fit to. This does nothing to help alleviate the distrust other Turians have towards their biotics, which further fosters the isolation that Fauus tends to feel towards any non biotics. With hostiles, he is clipped and precise, eliminating high value targets and those marked by his superiors. Outside of this, he operates on his own initiative, which tends to be securing his surroundings and eliminating threats to his continued operations. During free time, Fauus will actively seek out places where he can focus in peace and quiet, whether he is working on equipment maintenance. He is more comfortable around other Biotics then anyone else, though he would much rather be back with his Cabal more so above all. He speaks fondly of them, despite the fact such isolationism of Biotics by Turians does little to help the fact he is borderline inept in social situations. Not that he seems to mind, claiming it lets him focus more on his duties to his people, being of a incredibly rare breed after all. He is, rarely, openly nostalgic about the time spent with his Cabal, and it is one of the few things he will speak candidly about, nostalgia giving way to sorrow over no longer serving alongside them anymore.
