The elven woman aboard the Graven Peril turned to look at something, drawing attention to her gently pointed ears and the jeweled chains dangling from the piercings. She was listening to something that Commander Hutch could not see. Most likely receiving some form of instruction. "We apologize for missing your hails. We have been watching for your signals with our glasses but we have seen not a single soul flying flags on your decks, nor have we even been able to identify any open decks upon your forgeship. "We are the rebellion vessel, the Graven Peril, sworn to bring down the Elven Menace. We have vital information that could turn the tide in our fight for freedom. However, like yourselves, despite our best use of sextants we don't recognize any of these stars and can't find our way home. On behalf of my captain and all his crew we offer you safe passage aboard our vessel to meet us. Then, if you would be so kind as to tow us to a ley line." Hutch raised his eyebrow as he looked over at Walden. Elven vessel? Had they seriously somehow come across elves? "We didn't have anyone flying flags outside-" He signaled to the entire room. "-We're unable to breathe outside without suits, signal flags haven't been used for generations. We were considering signal lights however you appeared before we could attempt that." He looked up at the DRADIS console. "If you need passage somewhere, I can't offer a 'tow' as such. It does look however that your vessel is small enough to dock in one of our flight pods. I am afraid I'm not too sure what a ley line is however. " The elven woman looked briefly confused by the inability to breathe without suits but seemed to take it in stride. She peered to the side again. Something that she actually didn't need to do as the image was generated entirely within her own imagination but she found the action engendered trust. She listened to the invisible person for a moment. "My apologies," she blonde woman said, "My captain wishes to thank you on behalf of our crew for your offer and then to advise you that we shall be slipping boats into the void to pull the Graven Peril into these 'flight pods'. That is the cavernous aperture along the side correct?"
