For all the various high points and flaws of the Raimiverse, Amazing, and MCU versions of Spider-Man, none of them really come close to being the best Spidey film for me. Because there's one movie that, in my opinion, gets everything great about Spider-Man absolutely perfectly. The struggle of an awkward failure-to-launch dork starting to grow up and become a functional adult, the comfortable easy romance with the girl-next-door compared to pining for the free-spirited woman who's way out of your league and forces you to step up your game, the crazy fights with ridiculous bad guys, it hits all the right notes. I'm talking of course, about the best Spider-Man movie ever made.....Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Shame it happens to be based on a different comic.
