	If clumsiness and bad luck were superpowers, Aaliyah would be an Avenger by now. The poor girl is quite accident prone and inclined to get in her own way. Of course this spills over into her everyday interactions which ultimately makes her introverted nature simply exemplify. You see, Aaliyah is what you would say a train wreck. She’s rather socially unaware and unable to pick up social cues while being painfully shy. Any social interaction usually sends her into a panic where she can’t seem to string any words, but rather sounds and grunts like some type of Neanderthal. Her nervous nature mixed with her inclination to bump into people and knock things overs is quite the mix. It usually ends with her turning bright red and apologizing excessively as she tries to help, but only making it worse. After her episodes she pushes her glasses up and speed walks away, burying her face into her books and taking a few deep breaths. Aaliyah falls under the umbrella term of ‘nerd’, despite living in the palms where most are more focused on make and designer rather than author and scholar, Aaliyah finds herself unattached to those things. Her primary passion is chess and computer programming, while she is somewhat of a book nerd she’s not a literary nerd, she much rather read about computer programming and the machinations of society. 

At home she has a very close relationship with her parents to the point where they baby her and conducive to her scholarly, but lonely lifestyle. They’re amazing and a wonderful support system and what helped her develop such studious habits in the first place. Having been read to and conversed with adults early on, her general aptitude increased rather quickly. Aaliyah is quite sweet and humble, her room is organized just as she is and meticulously labeled with stickers depicting what’s within. While she’s happy with her life just as is, she does catch herself window shopping online, not at clothes but other girls and teens around her age. The thought of having a close group of friends and socializing normally at parties or even football games always alluded her. Her teammates on the math team weren’t up to par and you could only have so many sleepovers that involved onesies and a bed time before they ran dry. No, Aaliyah wasn’t very fashionably inclined nor ever touched an ounce of makeup, but she was naturally beautiful. Fashion and makeup however did peak her interest as she looked at countless YouTube videos despite not knowing where to start. Instead Aaliyah resigns herself and finds comfort on online communities and message boards/forums where most of her friends are online and hidden behind an avatar. 

There is however one saving grace. When in competition that tests her cerebral might, Aaliyah transforms into another person. Her mannerism become precise and strong, there's no stuttering in her speech; instead her words are steadfast and resolute, confidence pours out of her like a an overflowing chalice. While some people are who they want to be when they're drunk, Aaliyah wants to be the person she is when she's tested on mental aptitude.

[indent]	There’s nothing really out of the ordinary with her upbringing nor her family. Like most children, Aaliyah was a child of circumstance. She was simply born into a rather fortunate family with opportunities and connections beyond the norm. Her father Isaiah was born into poverty and sough the American Dream, which he eventually conquered and allowed him to take his career as a music producer all the way to the top. Sampling music for the big named artists of his generation. During this time, with his enchanting and eccentric persona, Isaiah managed to finagle a meet up with his soon to be wife Imani. The gorgeous, shapely, and tall model was soft on the eyes and simply intoxicating. The two together made quite the couple in both status and tabloid wise. Eventually the two would elope and settle down in the palms, where they would have their first child of the three, Josiah. Josiah from an early age already knew what he wanted to do and that was to work with his dad. His aspirations were met quite easily as his voice was silk even through puberty and his lyrics were passionate and forthright. Becoming a musician himself, he was signed on his father’s record label where the two took off as father/son duo. 

Imani continued to live out her career in modeling especially when she was pregnant, this only made her more famous in the eyes of her audience. The two would have another child, this time giving birth to beautiful girl named Destiny. Her destiny had already been decided as well. Destiny had grown up to be the average teen star who was both blossoming into a beautiful woman and seen in almost every outlet. TV was her first entrance into fame which then prompted a singing career and for now a promising acting or modeling career. The latter seems the most obvious since her mother is a world renowned model, but her decision was still up in the air. Eventually years would pass and the family would grow quite happily. Their two children living comfortably enough prompted the two to have one more child, the curveball they couldn’t have seen coming. Aaliyah was born and her quirks were quickly noticed as she was growing up. Unlike the other two she was quite the babied child who got away with murder and was quite spoiled. 

She was different from the two as in she didn’t choose fame or luxury, but rather books and puzzles. It dawned on her parents that they would have a new adventure and avenue to explore with their newest child, a thinker. With the years passing Aaliyah was treated as an adult from as early as she could remember. Her life was enriched with tutors and other scholars, her hobbies became her passions, especially that of chess. Competition after competition Aaliyah was chauffeured around showing her dominance in each field. But the deeper Aaliyah had gotten into her academics and competitions, the further she gotten from her siblings. The age disparity didn’t help either, but Aaliyah never had a strong bond with them as they did with each other. While it hurt and she would have appreciated the womanly touch and advice from her gorgeous sister, she was content with her fun. 

Now Aaliyah has spent most of her days in Kings Academy staying after school with her clubs and eating lunch in the bathroom or alone in the cafeteria. While she hasn’t been bullied she hasn’t necessarily been noticed enough either. Who knows, maybe she’ll meet someone by divine intervention that will change her life forever, then again maybe not.
