Jake is a 6'1" guy that is very physically fit. He isn't super muscley though but plays sports quite often. Jake is also very tan. He has brown eyes and dark brown hair. He typically lets his hair run wild but will occasionally make it look nice. Jake is nearly always smiling. The smile will disappear if someone makes him mad by doing something to his friends. Jake tends to dress casually, but on special occasions, he likes to dress up. His attire tends to consist of jeans or shorts, a t-shirt or a button up unbuttoned with an undershirt, and tennis shoes or flip-flops.

[b]Personality[/b]
Jake is a straightforward guy to understand. He loves helping people. It makes him happy to see others safe and happy. Ever since he was a child, Jake wanted to be a police officer. Chasing that desire shaped him to be who he is mostly. Rarely thinking of himself Jake constantly puts other safety before his own. He's outgoing, energetic, and a great friend. Jake is very much a social butterfly and enjoys making friends. He does have a problem of being a flirt, but he's not overbearing in that sense.

[b]Backstory[/b]
The place which Jake calls home is a sizeable industrious city where he is the only child of Marcus and Emilia Evanston. So far, everything in his life has been excellent. He even had three best friends living right in the same suburb as him. As a kid, he considered his life perfect. Unfortunately, things did not stay that way. The person Jake was closest to in the small group lost his mother to suicide and the boy, named Emmanuel, felt it was his fault. He lashed out at his friends, and instead of being a comforter, Jake fought right back. At the time he did not understand how his friend was feeling and shut Emmanuel out.

Advance the timeline to college and Jake still had the other two friends as his closest allies. Emmanuel, however, became distant as well as the resident jock and bully that everyone fears, only Jake would seem to stand up to him. There wasn't much Emmanuel could do to Jake though, as the young 'protagonist' was very popular among the somewhat small campus, unlike most stories of heroes. Whenever Jake does something, it was almost like most of the students within the school stood behind him. The students viewed Jake as the knightly king of the college and Emmanuel was the dragon doomed to fall before the righteous ruler.

However, for one of Jake's two closest advisors, the same can not be said. Oscar was the nerdy type; people only seemed to care for him because of Jake. One day, Emmanuel came up with a plan to use Oscar to get back at Jake. One afternoon he and his lackeys grabbed Oscar and sped off with their haul to an undisclosed location. Jake only heard about this as he was heading home when he receives a text from Sam, the only girl who was a part of the original group, explaining that someone told her Emmanuel had taken Oscar somewhere. At that moment, Jake went to get Sam, and they began searching for their friend. Within moments he received a call from Oscar's phone, but instead of Oscar, the voice he heard was Emmanuel. Jake was instructed to come to the so-called 'ghetto' part of the city.

So, as fast as they could, Jake and Sam made their way too where Oscar was being held captive. Eventually, the search leads them to a run-down construction site next to the city's chemical plant. That is when the trap was sprung. Six people came out of the shadows. Emmanuel, his friends, and Oscar with a swollen eye and a bloody lip. Jake tried to fight back, but the thugs overpowered him. The villains started having fun with their catch when from not too far away from them the sound of an explosion echoed out. Looking in the direction of the blast the group could see the plant on fire and crumbling to pieces. The next thing that happened was very unusual. Many saw it as a horrible atrocity, but others saw it as a gift. A greenish mist shot out like a shockwave that emanated from the plant in all directions. Everyone started to run but Jake and Emmanuel. The two squared off and continued throwing blows at each other like the idiots that they were. When the mist enveloped them, they both fell to the ground, nearly coughing their lungs out. Soon Jake could feel his senses numbing and eventually he passed out.

When he woke up, Jake found himself in a hospital bed surrounded by Oscar, Sam and his mother. From what the hospital could tell the mist had not been dangerous but that they would like to keep everyone effected within the hospital for the time being. For a few days, nothing happened. Most of the city spent time waiting for their loved ones they knew who worked at the plant to come back, but it seemed the vast majority of them had perished. Among those numbers, Jake's father had been neither confirmed nor denied.

While most were watching the plant, something unexpected happened within the hospital. Unexplainable things were occurring to most of the patients. Some heard things; some saw things; some even seemed to change biologically. Everything was a mystery as the doctors had no idea what was happening. One night, while Jake quietly waited for slumber to overtake him, a familiar face snuck into his room. Emmanuel stood next to Jake's bed, and they both held a strong desire too continue their fight. Neither of them threw a punch and instead they hugged. When they did this though, something happened, Emmanuel began floating, and Jake fell through his hospital bed. As the days went forward, the hospital announced to the city that they discovered a unique side effect of the Mist. The DNA of each of the affected were changing in varied and strange ways. That was when things started getting worse and weird at the same time.

As people discovered what they could do, they also began using their new 'abilities' to get what they wanted. Many used their 'gifts' for crime, and some used theirs to help others. Jake was among the latter, while Emmanuel was one of the former. Factions began forming within the city, and the situation kept getting worse and worse. 'Normal' people were fleeing the city, and the local law enforcement could not contain these metas. Tensions continued to rise until one night the bad seeds launched an all-out assault, trying to take control of the city before the government could step in.

Chaos erupted in the city as what felt to locals like a homegrown war waged on in the streets. The police did not stand a chance until the good metas, like Jake, stepped in to help. The fighting lasted into the early morning, and the corrupt metas were being pushed back to the ruined chemical plant. Jake, among others, launched a final assault as the morning sun shined over them. As the final battle began wrapping up, Jake had a fateful meeting with Emmanuel. As they were two of the closest to the origin of the Mist when it occurred, many realized they were probably two of the most powerful of the metas in the city and left them to their fight.

As the two battled, neither were able to take the upper hand as their powers seemed to counter each other. During the fight, the two made an astounding discovery. Deep within the recesses of the plant, the two uncovered what appeared to be a door to a bunker. Emmanuel, realizing the fight was going nowhere, tried to escape through the door but Jake easily followed suit. What they found inside was atrocious. Inside was all the missing people inside what seemed to be containment pods filled with a green liquid, despite Jake's father. He was sitting behind a desk watching on monitors as the chaos played out. The man began regaling the facts behind everything that had occurred. According to the man standing before them, everything up to this point was all a part of some elaborate experiment.

For years Marcus Evanston had been studying various ways of altering human DNA. No one would allow him to perform his tests legally, so he reverted too more illegal methods. For years he had been trying to understand the human genomes beyond current knowledge, and unfortunately one of his experiments went awry. As fast as he could, the man escaped away to his hidden bunker with as many people as he could. They all collapsed as the Mist enveloped them. Marcus had awoken first and tried to figure out what the Mist had done. What he saw delighted him, and quickly he knew what he 'had' to do. He made sure that any trapped with him would not wake up as he prepared to conduct his new experiments. At this point, Jake and Emmanuel both couldn't bear to listen any further, and both seemed to agree they must take action.

They lashed out at the mad scientist, but he had power as well. The fight was long and strenuous, but eventually, the military arrived to stop the threats. The battle soon ended as the two rivals stood over the man who had created all this chaos. At that point, the two agreed that everything that had happened to this point was a mess. As the military rounded up as many metas as they could, Jake and Emmanuel parted ways leaving the fight for another time. From that point to today things have become much calmer. With no more constant fighting, people began coming back to the city. It took time, but the city and its people healed.

That is vaguely how Jake's origin movie would go. Naturally, as an actual movie, it would be done more proper, but this was me trying to keep it concise. I am pretty sure I failed at that. Nonetheless, the story ends on a somewhat bittersweet note. There are still criminals in the city. Some 'normal' and some meta. However, there are those who stick their necks out too fight for good. Jake is among them and even occasionally Emmanuel. It has been awhile since then. Nothing big enough to contain a movie has happened though.

[b]Superpowers[/b]
Density Manipulation - With Jake's control over density he can raise or lower the density of himself or anything he touches. He can make things to where they can be almost completely intangible or make something so dense it is almost impenetrable. However, once losing contact it returns to its normal density, or when he is knocked out, he returns to his normal density. [b]Talents and Interests[/b]
At his college he was getting the main associates degree most would get there to transfer somewhere else so no special knowledge from it. He is very fit as he works out often and he does parkour/freerunning quite often. He does have an interest in history and his favorite time periods to study are medieval Japan and Cold War times. He also used to play sports a lot in high school, but nowadays he doesn't have the time.
