1. Let’s keep it to modern tech just to keep it simple. That said, if your character is rocking a Pokédex, think of them as a mobile phone. Literally a one stop shop for whatever you need. Aside from giving Pokemon information, you can text, map calls, email, go on the internet, use it as a GPS etc.

2. I’ve done Ash because the TV series is just a lot more “colourful” than the games. Plus during the series Ash stays 12/13 years old. In the 40 years that followed its assumed he finally made a name for himself.
