For being more than a week stuck in this game, he still had not got used to a few things. He disliked having to wake up early in the morning. In his other life, he usually woke up around mid-afternoon, that is to say, if he did not have to go to work. He hoped he would be able to make it a habit given this is a life or death situation. Pinching his nose stem, he wondered if the moderators or game devs would do anything unfair to the players. Dubstepp brought his hands together and held his chin up. If anything, him and the other players were just tools. On the first day, without any mercy, the game designer eliminated one player as an example. The musician's eyes went blank as he stared off into the distance. He relived the moment, seeing the scared expression on other players. He heard their screams of terror and witnessed how most of them went into a panic. Dubstepp snapped out of his flashback. Rubbing his forehead, he knew preparation was the key. He needed to have the best chance against -- Dubstepp let out a sigh as he thought of the word "God." That's basically what the game designer had become. "The power to do anything in the world that you built. Heh, sounds like God," Dubstepp chuckled at the irony of this dilemma. He wanted to be on top of things yet he's just a pawn to someone else in this computer game. Dubstepp shifted his body a bit. He was taking a seat on the circular stone bench of a fountain. The trainer glanced at passing NPCs and players; they carried on with their daily routines. Groups of players walked by and stayed totally tranced in their conversation. The musician squinted, he wondered if that remained the best option. He chose to Han Solo for a while without chaining himself to a guild. It seemed more trouble than it was worth. Naturally, feelings might become a weakness and there was the matter of dead weight. The trainer recollected to his past moments with several players he encountered. He did find their assistance in the dungeon helpful though he did have a falling out with a few individuals. Human interactions are a flip of the coin; either way, they are going to end up good or bad. Dubstepp still can't help the fact that the first person he met disappeared without a trace, "Aura." He barely knew the red-headed beauty, but it still annoys the hell out of him. The literal contact that wasn't an NPC managed to 'poof.' Dubstepp opened up his inbox and began browsing through his emails. "Damn it. Is there really an easy decision to this?" His eyes began moving as his mind tried to concentrate. He closed the inbox when he noticed that he was running from his choice. "I'll make a decision tomorrow. I have to stop putting this off."

✧ DAY 9 - Genesis City, Inn "Eden Hall" - 8AM-12AM ✧
6/24/2076
Dubstepp quietly sat near a fountain again. It frankly was the best place for thoughts. He twiddled his thumbs together; he spent some time thinking about his decision. The benefits did seem promising, but even then, he wasn't sure if it was the "best decision." The ultimate deciding factor was Dubstepp needed to make some sacrifices. He stepped off the fountain parked on the gravel. He looked up at the clear, blue sky. Opening up his menu, he clicked on a past user's name on his friend's list. In actuality, it was one of the few people he met on the first day. Dubstepp sent a message to Reylan that read: "Hey. how's the day going? I would like a moment of your time to chat. Any restaurant you have in mind? I'm kind of hungry." Reylan was quick to reply to the message "It's going smoothly so far. Sure, we haven't gotten time to talk in awhile it seems. How about the Twisted Fang? Got some pretty good BBQ." He sent it and started to head in that direction, since he figured that's where they would meet. It felt like ever since Aura left and he became guild-leader he just was caught up in so much stuff that he didn't make enough time to talk with Dub. He felt a bit guilty about that after all Dub was one of his first party members. Together they fought their first mobs and won. Whatever he wanted to talk about, Reylan was eager to listen. Dubstepp raised his eyebrows for a quick second. He did not expect a fast response. He guessed guild leaders must have some time to spare. Writing back, “I don’t really like barbecue, but that’s fine.” He sent the message and began walking to the destination with his arms behind his head. He arrived shortly, after a few days you tend to remember close to all the restaurant names. He was tempted to reply that it had more than BBQ but decided to simply wait until they were face-to-face. Reylan came to the Twisted Fang a few minutes after Dubstepp "Hey Dub!" He cheerfully called out as he approached. While he still wasn't technically a part of the guild, Reylan would do anything to help him out. Dub was part of his first party and the group that took down their first dungeon, of course, he would feel a little attached "Well, should we head inside?" Even though the answer was obvious, he still asked in a semi-coy manner. “I didn’t come for nothing,” Dubstepp chose to speak with an obvious answer. He shook his head in the general direction. After a few minutes of waiting and communicating with the server, the two young males sat across from each other in a booth. "I gotta admit it's kinda nice just to hang out the two of us." Reylan opened with a friendly smile "So.." He rest his elbows in the table, hands laying on top of each other in the center "What did ya want to talk about?" Being the guildmaster, it seemed more and more people had something to discuss with him. Dubstepp laid his head back on the leather cushion. His eyes were half-way opened. There was light tapping on the wooden table. He thought back to how this situation was going to play out. He certainly didn't believe Reylan would be so cheery. Was he always like this? Has it been that long? Dubstepp coughed as he tried to clear his throat. "I've had some time to think. I've recently received an epiphany." The words did not bring Reylan any closer to understanding what Dubstepp wanted. It honestly could mean anything, so it was easier to simply ask "I'm here to listen if you want to share it." It was a simple but honest reply. Dub seemed to always be cool-headed and witty, and brought a unique perspective to the group. Dubstepp leaned forward with his hands clasped together. Bringing his hands to his chins, he spoke again. "I'm interested in joining the guild." Reylan did his best to suppress the gladness that Dubs words brought him, even if it was not-comittal in his signature fashion "That's great. I'm sure everyone would be happy to have you officially part of it." Small as it was, this guild was family and Dub was a piece of it. Dubstepp nodded his head in response. "I think I know some of them, but you must have got some new members. I haven't really made a decision yet." The musician tried taming down Reylan's enthusiasm. "I have a few questions. I am joining this based on previous knowledge of you guys. I know you guys from previous adventures. So I am a bit spectacle because there might be better options for me out there. Who know? I guess my first question is how many players are currently in the guild?" Dubstepp's choice of work had their intended effect, the excitableness he had been expressing faded especially when it was mentioned that there might be better options. While he was a bit sad that their previous times working together didn't guarantee him joining, he was able to understand his mindset. Reylan had been so caught up with his interactions with the others that the threat of death had somewhat faded from his mind "As of right now, there are ten people in the guild. The most of them you will already know." He said, taking a calmer and more serious tone. Dubstepp tapped his chin and leaned back. "Okay, that's actually not bad. Though I sort of had a feeling given we did have a dungeon run together." Dubstepp chuckled, attempting to ease the table talk. Then he sucked air through his teeth. "Given that you are the leader, I'm guessing you have decided on a second-in-command. Have you and who might that be?" Dubstepp cut his hand through the air. Dubstepp and Reylan conversed more inside the diner about the guild. Dubstepp took a few minutes to eat. During that time, he thought about the information and accepted Reylan's invitation. "I know I'm a bit late, but I'll go ahead and sign that document now. It's probably in my best interest and best option." He snickered and signed the official document to guarantee himself as a member."I guess you got this meal, right? Given you are the guild master and all."
Dubstepp used no Renn. Dubstepp increased his relationship with player Reylan. Reylan:////////// Dubstepp has 733 Renn left. SUMMARY Dubstepp put a lot of thought into joining a guild. He wasted almost an entire day, thinking back to previous experiences. Finally, he came to decision. With a formal invite to Reylan, the two discussed the guild and ate alongside each other. With enough information, Dubstepp was comfortable in becoming a member.
