Therefore it comes as a surprise to most people when they see Jords in cleats- probably more of a surprise if they ever see the shelves groaning with rugby trophies in his bedroom. Yes, he’s tall- but the height looks like it came from being taken at the feet and head and stre-ee-tch-ee-d. His friends used to compare him to a baby giraffe which gew six feet in months and hasn’t realised it yet. However, though his stringy height conceals it, he is still muscled like all athletes. His legs especially- his calves are so defined they could be in the Oxford. Haircuts have never been his thing, and his reflects that. Long and shaggy, he normally ‘styles’ it by running a hand through the almond-coloured strands in the morning. A headband is essential for sports to keep it out of his green eyes. He has a face made for a charming, wide smile- large white teeth and dimples that crease his cheeks. However, he likes to keep it sombre, especially now as he’s still feeling the effects of his parent’s divorce and the recent move away from his home and friends. The ‘Jordan Style’ is rumpled, monocolour tees or sports shirts with a band hoodie over top for cold nights. Jeans are preferred, his navy blues having been worn to the point of distress. Not a fan of piercings or tattoos, Jords has been quoted calling them ‘for ponces and pretty-boys.’ Secretly, he wouldn’t mind a small meaningful tattoo, but he’s kind of past the point of no return with his mates after his opinions. Maybe now he’s an ocean away he could get one without getting the piss taken out of him.
Personality Details
Jords is best described as a real handful. Hotheaded and opinionated, he draws followers to him like moths to a particularly fine flame. He hates to be kept silent, and his mouth seems to run faster than his brain at times, leading to often ‘shit, I can’t take that one back,’ moments in arguments. This sometimes leads to fights too, which he doesn’t shy from if he has to. In the moment, he sometimes forgets about other people’s feelings which can lead to a problems. He has a short fuse and can often blows up on people, before shutting off and ignoring them. He loves a bit of shit talk and banter with his friends but can sometimes cross the line and make it a little too personal. Despite his loud persona, he’s quiet around girls, especially ones he likes. He doesn’t like his family, and has a bit of distrust for authority coming from his absent father. This means he often acts up in class and doesn’t respect the teachers, leading to low grades and bad schoolwork.
Upbringing Synopsis
Jordan was born to a small family in Chelsea, England. His father worked the stocks at the London Stock Exchange, leaving at five every morning so he could get caught up on the prices. His mother was an old classmate of his from public school who tagged along for the ride when she saw the size of his Apple stock. With her came her first child, Jay, from a teen pregnancy with her high school sweetheart. It wasn’t much of a family, but hey, you only get one. Stockbrokers worked long hours and spent most of the night ‘networking,’ at pubs and, on the good deals, uptown bars, so Jords never saw much of his father. His mother was more concerned about her tan and spending her husband’s money than her children, so they were often left making their own lunches and getting themselves to their private school with their future elite classmates. Jay wasn’t a great brother either. His role model was his own father, and it seemed his life goals were lying on couches high as a kite and going through girlfriends like it was going out of style. So Jords ended up alone in his own house, or away most of the time. He made plenty of friends at school, he never struggled with that, but he was too embarrassed to bring them home. The one escape he had was sports. His father had been rugby mad before stocks took over, and when Jordan was a kid the rare occasions he saw him were often spent passing a ball in the backyard. Hoping to earn his father’s approval, he signed up for the school rugby team when he was nine and found out, to his surprise, that he was very good at it. His large frame and quick feet meant he could outhustle and outmuscle the other players, and his shelves were soon groaning with MVPs and trophies. Once he got to high school, he excelled in sports, but struggled in normal classes. Time spent studying was time spent away from the muddy fields, the trylines, his teammates. So Jords neglected his classes and often wagged with his mates. Most of his teachers let him get away with it since he was the star for the school’s rugby team, but many of his swot classmates looked down on him and the other jocks. When Jords was seventeen, he found out that stockbroking wasn’t the only thing taking up his father’s time- he had several girlfriends on the side. When he spilled the news to his mother, they ended up in the divorce courts. Jordan, Jay and her moved to Crown Heights with half of their father’s considerable fortune and Jordan was enrolled in King's Academy. They haven’t seen their father since, and he is assumed to still be partying in London with a woman on each arm.
Family
Daniel Henderson- Estranged Father - 40 | Olivia Browning - Mother - 40 | Jay Henderson - Brother - 21
Misc.
James Franco - #6c2dff - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards/Tame Impala
