"It was just a small delay, and nothing much would happen from it" was what she first thought when taking the time to help the one in charge of the school's library tidy up. Manami had taken some time from her class to help classmates with their studies, nothing really odd when she did it every so often. To compensate for the time lost, she made sure to study hard and remain in the top spots when it came to grades, so that she could keep this earned priviledge. And, to keep up with her image, she agreed to help the librarian with the mess of books they left behind, as cold climate had taken its toll on the assistant and they were now bedridden. It was a calm and simple task, the routinary movements serving to put order in Manami's thoughts. They naturally drifted towards the last night. She didn't make her presence known as she didn't feel like getting in petty squabbles about kill steals and others. If she was to operate, she'd rather do so in smaller groups. Whatever she had done the last night, though, didn't mean she was allowed to miss the regularly scheduled Detention Center meeting. It raised a couple of eyebrows back at her home when the housemaid began to wonder why was she returning much later than usual. However, any doubts were quickly washed away with the simple excuse that she was there to 'lend a hand in the reformation of wrongdoers as an example to follow.' "An example to follow..." She muttered those words under her breath. Yes, that's why she was here. All the lot of them, so unorderly and savage in their ways of hunting. Giving in to their most raw and basic instincts. Just because one has power it doesn't mean that one must be careless and get overconfident. Instead, one must downplay their own capabilities to find the best moment to attack. A single, lethal strike; a definitecoup de grace. With those thoughts in mind, Manami made her way to the Detention Club. Being a couple of minutes late wouldn't bring up that much of a fuss; in fact, it's the perfect time to arrive: It is assured that one doesn't have to wait for the rest to arrive and that she'd be able to hear the most of what this meeting was about. Still, she was absolutely sure that something was wrong as she walked through the hallway. A feeling that she slowly discerned as she approached the source: an uncorrupted magical girl had made her way to the club. However, the building wasn't a pile of rubble as of yet, so it was safe to assume that they all managed to keep their collective cool and not succumb to rage...
"You think you're better than us? You think you're better than me?!"
... She struggled not to sigh in disappointment. The voice was echoing through the hallways thanks to the open door's of the club. At this pace, this'd raise a lot of questions and they may get an earful from the school's authorities for disturbing the neighbouring classes or something of the sort. However, as she turned the corner of the hallway, the sight of an unknown figure stuck her by surprise was unmiste. She seemed like a wealthy girl, but the empalagating feeling of positive energy was unmistakeable: That girl was definitely one of the Light. "This is unfortunate..." was all that she muttered. Inside of her, she felt the need to deliver more blatant and vile words, however she didn't know if anyone was listening. Instead, she hurried towards the club and braced herself to be met with the start of a fight. And, in case such an event happened, she had to keep a favorable position against the possible foes. With that in mind, Manami made her appearance. "Really, I thought you all would be more discreet than this" she said with a sigh as she took her place by the door, right behind the intruders. The way those words were pronounced making it seem like she adressed both the newcomers and the members of the club. As it seemed, she had arrived just in the nick of time of what she wanted to avoid. "If you keep up with the racket, eventually people will come and ask questions, don't you all agree?"
