Past…. unforgivable past.-. "Galbrek... Galbrek? What art thou doing? We shalt have to go now." The familiar face of his sister Galliere greeted him, her long blonde hair swaying in the wind. "Going? Where are we going sister? This place is..." He looked around and saw small wooden houses out on a grassy field, it was summer with the sun shining bright. The clouds were large and plenty along the blue sky, a couple of butterflies flew past and the flowers on the field rocked gently as the wind passed through. "Hast my dear brother forgotten? It is our birthday today, we've ought to be swift lest he shalt start extinguish all the candles without us!" Galliere gave an amused smile before darting off, she always were physically more impressive. So swift and strong. Compared to her, he felt inferior. His powers were pitiful and lacking finesse, they were weak and not refined the slightest. Finally they've made their way to the meeting place, where eight people awaited their arrival, all those gathered were of similar age. In the middle of the gathering, before the cake stood he. The one he had been unable to forget, but also tried to forget about. But like a haunting ghost followed him everywhere he went, every time he looked at other people, every time he looked into a mirror or the faces of his family. A face who looked very similar to his own, it belonged to the last of the trio. The demon triplets. His brother. His beloved brother. Galduric. He stood there with his usual cheeky grin, with a slightly too big blue suit and tie, looking as much classy as laid back. His hair slicked backward, reaching down just below his shoulders, with a stripe falling down over his eyes every now and then. "Hey! Galliere! Galbrek! Did you two snooze off among the sheep or something? We've got guests to look after you know! Oh and any clue when Jilan and his girlfriend will show up? You know these candles won't be lit forever!" "Uhm.. yes brother, sorry about that. It was Adam's fault. For not being here, I left him at home." Galbrek reassured his brother. It was then the car arrived which dropped off the last two younglings which soon joined the rest in a gathering. The red haired half-demon stood up on a chair. "First of all, I would like to thank all of you for coming to our birthday party! Me, my borther and my sister will turn fourteen years today and in a couple of years we shall all be joining the prestigious St.Laurel's school together. Let's have alot of fun up until then! Cheers!" Galduric raised his glass of sweet soda in a plastic goblet and took a sip. Galbrek and Galliere also raised their own plastic goblets alongside the other young people gathered. Then the cheery atmosphere was broken by the girl who had arrived recently with the boy Jilan. She walked forwards and pointed her hand shakingly towards the three half-demons. Pointing at them with her fingers. "No! Don't drink anything! They are not who they say they are!" She began to yell out. The younglings looked at each other, then the girl then to the three half-demons. "Ehh? Watcha on about? What's wrong with her Jilan?" A boy spoke up whilst another pair began to whisper. "She might have seen something... she sees things, that's her power you know." A couple of the younglings nodded to each other. Galduric looked abit troubled and raised both his hands. "Woah! What's the matter?" "Watch out! He is trying to harm us! He has demon blood in him! I can tell! Ask Jilan! Ask anyone!" The girl began to panic as she tried to convince the other younglings that she was right. Another girl began to speak up from the crowd. "My dad died to a demon! They are evil all of them!" She was quickly followed by a boy saying out loud. "Where's the proof?! Galduric is our friend! They are our friends, they couldn't be..." He was soon overpowered by a louder boy who stood abit taller than the rest. "Where's the proof they are not demons? Jilan's girlfriend wouldn't just make things up! Hey! Are you demons?" The three half-demons stood still and Galliere seemed to want to step forth to say something when their blue clad brother instead did. "We are half-demons, we are half-humans. Our mother was a demon but our father was a-" The young boy's words were quickly overpowered by an outbreak of yelling and screaming, with their former friends pointing at them and screaming things they never thought they would have heard. "Monsters!" "You should all go and die!" "Evil ones!" "You don't belong here!" The tallest and oldest of the boys stepped forwards. "My dad says a good demon is a dead demon, he also said it's okay to kill them because they are not like us and evil..." Several of the younglings in the gathering began to nod and throw their plastic goblets towards the three half-demons. "Get lost you freaks! You lied to us!" A girl screamed out and threw a present package she had done straight at Galduric, the boy stumbled over the chair and began to crawl on the ground before standing up. "We never lied to you- we never thought-" His replies were silenced by the other younglings yelling and throwing of all they could find. Galduric threw a glance back to his siblings. "Run!" Whereof they all did. They ran and ran through the fields and up to a forested area where there were several steep sloopes. The other teens gave chase however, urged into action by the older and more temperamental ones. Many of them had magical powers which they shot after the trio as they dashed through the covers of the trees. "Over here! After them! Don't let them get away!" A boy yelled as he threw magical blasts recklessly through the usually calm forested area. Galduric and Galliere slid down a slope and pressed themselves against it with their backs. Being as quiet as they could, whilst Galbrek had to take another route due to a large tree and ended up further away, still within visible distance and he slid down another slope. He peeked to the side and saw his two siblings motioning to him to stay there, but that's when he could hear a distance away from him. "Hey! I think I saw that Galbrek asshole go this way..." A boy said as he walked closer to the slope Galbrek was hiding by, his siblings could see this from where they were hiding. Galduric pressed Galliere around the slope out of view. Lowering his voice he said. "Stay here. A knight doesn't charge in because he wants to, but because he has to. I love you sister." Galduric grabbed hold of the slope and discreetly slid up, making his way behind a few bushes before yelling. "Over here! I am the one you are looking for!" He yelled, this caused the entire search party to stop what they were doing and started to chase after him out through the forest. Around the same time, that's when the rain began to fall. A slight rumbling of the sky above and the clouds gathering up as a dark omen. Galbrek slowly began to move towards where his sister were and found her behind some thick roots at the underside of a tree which had crashed down the slope some time the former summer. "Sister... they are gone... we should hurry up and get out of here..." Galbrek panted heavily but was trying to keep as quiet as possible. They did however wait to catch their breaths and peeked about very cautiously, they didn't know if anyone was still remaining. "We hast to find our brother!" She replied in a hushed yet swift tone of voice, her attire all muddied up and waterdrops starting to fall on her face and clothes. The pair of half-demons made it out of the forested area and looked at the fields, but what they saw now was the small houses who had been paid for by their mother were now fully ablaze. "They fucking put our summer camp home on fire! Those bastards!" Galbrek yelled, without thinking before running out and making his way towards it. Followed by his more cautious sister. "Careful brother..." She murmured along the way. The half-demon pair dashed down to to where the birthday party was supposed to have been. It had been trashed. The cake ruined. The chairs broken. The buildings on fire. No sight of the former friends which had done this to them. But there was something left in the middle of the circular garden in which the tables and chairs had been placed. A makeshift cross made by a wooden pillar for a terass, and nailed on it was a board. It was lit ablaze, and on that cross was also a body. By the ground next to the burning cross a shoe and a small wrapped package, the shoe they recognized to belong to their dear brother. Galbrek fell to his knees before the burning wooden cross with the body burning on it. "B-brother..? This can't be...happening...there's just no way!" His eyes widening and his hands grasping the now muddy ground deeply, tears trailing down his face. "Oh.. Galduric..." Galliere's eyes became watery and she held her mouth to not throw up, her remaining hand reaching out as if trying to decipher if it was all a horrible dream. The half-demon boy looked up with mud on his face, with his eyebrows twitching, his eyes narrowing. "Why?! Why did he have to die?! Raaaarghhh! Damn them! Damn all of them! Damn all humans to the heavens!" Galliere tried to place a hand on Galbrek's shoulder. "Brother.. I... It's not because they are humans, evil... grows in many places. I will... see justice done... for certain." She had her hand slapped away quickly by Galbrek. "Grrr.. I shall make them pay dearly for what they did to him! I shall avenge him by wiping them all out! Every last one of their disgusting kind!" He rose up finally after the burning had seized from the rain, he untied the remains of his brother and laid it down on the ground. "Crap... It's because of them... if it wasn't for them you would still be..." "Galbrek! He's gone! He never wanted us to fight against the humans! He wanted us to live in peace!" Galliere yelled with tears in her eyes. "And look what that got him! Look what they did to him! I will NOT co-exist with them no more. I will bring fire to this world! Join me sister! Together we can work to exterminate all of them!" "Nay! I shalt not be part of anything that would defile the memory of our dear brother! What thou art planning to do is wrong! That's not justice! That's murder!" "So be it! If that will make us being able to live in peace, I shall murder all of them...." He took hold of the charred remains of his brother and began walking on unsteady feet. "Galbrek! Galbrek!" His sister yelled after him as they both left the area on weary feet, saddened and vengeful but with clear visions ahead of what they had to do.
