Name: Sigurd Title(s): “Greatest Hero of Northern Europe”, “King of Noble Warriors”, “Völsunga King” Class: Saber Gender: Male Birth and Death Dates: Age of Man Alignment: Neutral Good Personality: Truly a hero that was fearless, a being who was not a person standing in line with the earth gallantly, without disdaining his enemy by showing his back to them, without being frugal with gold, and being strict with himself more than anyone, and was more proud-hearted than all of the successive generations of Kings in each land. Expressing no emotion whatsoever even in dire situations, being shown to be stoic as he kept fighting without knowing the love of his mother, father, and foster-father while he took action, taking into account necessity and fairness of the situation at hand to avoid terrible outcomes and benefit everyone with or without their approval. However, he did know love in his heart with one individual, that being the former Valkyrie Brynhildr, as “he had fallen in love with her in first sight”. This being said, he does not hate his wife, though underneath all his stoicism, and all of his taking into account of the happiness of others and not himself, lies a hidden feeling he has never told to anyone else. His love for Brynhildr more than any other woman in the world, which hasn’t been lost to the ages but was buried away deeper than any other emotion of his due to how sincere it was. Yet he understands innately that, by nature of his death at her hands and what happened to her, meeting her again would only result in tragedy and his attempted murder by her hand once more. So for her he would show that smile, before striking her down to ease her pain as he had failed to do in life. Appearance: His looks as that like those of an ice sculpture who had attractive features. But has a calm expression like he was a demon that was born from a glacier while wearing the Helm of Fafnir inscribed onto his person. His brisk tone icy voice resembled that of his mother's or father's, or that of his foster-father's, who was even more of a wicked strategist than his parents, his form and nature were probably handed down to him from some much distant ancestor; being a descendant of Odin. The looks in his honest eyes can make someone fascinated by them as the color of his gentle eyes gave the impression of a good item to honor gratitude as it shown within the wisdom of the dragon Fafnir with his daring gaze, even a single smile from him made Brynhildr lovestruck, making her very heart go as it pierced her very being. Bio: http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Sigurd https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigurd (for the Helm of Terror rune) In life, Sigurd gained what many believe to be a literal helm with a protective rune upon it. However, in truth this “helm” was actually a rune created by the Joutenheim sea god, Aegir, that was gathered up from him by Loki as part of a ransom to dwarves to free all the other captured gods. From here Fafnir took it when he took the Nibulegun hoard for himself. From here, Sigurd acquired this rune himself after he slew Fafnir. Though it has been imitated many times over by vikings in their lives to invoke its power, seeking to gain victory by it, these all are in reality far lesser versions being invoked by those who have little to no magecraft experience/power. Sigurd too can too create lesser versions of this specific rune due to his possession of the original, replications which are still notably lesser to the original but far exceed those used by the average non-mage viking even in the far past. Weapon: Gram, Runic Armor (which is not part of his NP) that he wears on his person Parameters: Strength: B+ Endurance: A Agility: B Mana: A Luck: E Class Skills: Magic Resistance: X (A) -Cancel spells of A-Rank or below, no matter what High-Thaumaturgy it is. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a 'Magus Killer'. However, in acquisition of the Noble Phantasm, this has been sealed. Riding: A -All vehicles and all creatures but those of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast-rank can be used as mounts. This rank is high enough to have aptitude for the Rider Class. Personal Skills: Revelation: B -A power is given to him due to consuming the heart of Fafnir, though which he has gained the insight of the world. Though the consumption of dragon's blood and heart, he was able to know of the dwarf Regin's plan to murder him and have Fafnir's hoard entirely for himself thanks to the birds warning him ahead of time, after which Sigurd killed the dwarf. But instead of talking to literal birds, he artificially inherited a sort of 'wisdom' that manifested itself as a strange connection with the world. He is able to interpret the song of birds, the caress of the wind upon blades of grass and the thrum of mana in the air, among other things like unto these, and other forms of communication from the Revelation skill at that, as warnings or advice on 'what is the best path' or 'what will come next'. With this power in mind, surprising or ambushing Sigurd is literally impossible in or out of battle. Rune Magic: B -Is a Skill that denotes one having possession of Runes - the Magic Crest of Northern Europe. Sigurd learned these from his first wife, the former valkyrie Brynhildr, who herself learned the Primordial runes from Odin and taught them and Rune Magic to Sigurd alongside some other magecraft. Due to this he has the capacity to use the 18 original Norse Runes, though outside of the Caster class this is the top limit this skill can be for him, and encompasses the full extent of his magic skills as limited within the Saber class. By making proper use of this, powerful and varied effects are mastered. Other than attacks, this is mainly employed for effects corresponding to the Skills Magic Resistance, Clairvoyance, for raising parameters to Rank A, empowering one's Noble Phantasm, etc. All of these applications are merely temporary, and multiples of the same thing cannot be employed simultaneously. At this level, his magecraft skill are equivalent to a Caster-class servant. He also normally hides Gram's true appearance, obscuring it with his Runes drawn onto a talisman wrapped around the blade's hilt/handle to keep it from being able to be discerned by others. Similarly, he has put other runes on a second talisman wrapped around the hilt/handle of Gram as well to allow him to empower it on the fly for attacks, most deadly when the blade is used properly or just for attacking in general. Monstrous Strength: E -Temporary rank up in STR for a very very short period. The more he uses this, however, the closer he become to 'becoming Fafnir' and the higher the rank of this skill goes up as a result. But if it is activated in a combination with Runes he placed upon his Runic Armor, temporary A++ strength can be exerted. Further, when he becomes rather close to becoming a dragon, his Revelation skill will rank up as well as he changes. Upon becoming a dragon, only if that time comes around, this skill's power also gets a great rise as well. Noble Phantasms: Name: Gram Title: “Sword of the Sun”, “Demonic Sword of Glory and Ruin” Rank: A++ NP Type: Anti-Fortress Range: 1-99 Maximum Number of Targets: 1000 Appearance: http://i.imgur.com/b9v5he4.png Description: http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Gram The strongest demonic blade that can only be equaled in might by the strongest holy sword, Excalibur. However, its appearance differs from the one shown in Gilgamesh's "Gate of Babylon" due to that one being the original version and this being the reforged one. It possesses the characteristic of a dragon slayer as well, and an incredible sharpness and durability that allowed it to easily cleave a solid anvil in two with one swing. Sigurd normally has runes used with it that keep it physically obscured to hide it's true identity. When activated, a demonic, black, cursed darkness mixed with dark red flicks of light covers the blade and swirls around it, an appearance made possible by becoming demonic and taking on the curses of all warriors. It is their despair, their cruel deaths, their fears of death and what is to come, their anger as they lay dying on the field of battle with no hope or glory to be had, and is the nightmare and fear of all who ever took the field of battle. It is the inevitable doom that awaits all who live and die by the sword, and the inescapable tragedy that befalls them in life. Looking upon this aura of the blade dredges up the worst memories, one’s darkest moments, one’s worst fears and regrets. This has transformed the blade into the polar opposite of its holy counterpart, a sword that it matches in all of its strength and power. When used it works similar to its equal, somewhat ironically, by converting the wielder’s magical energy into a demonic light. Then utilizing the wielder’s factor of the dragon to accelerate this demonic light, intensify its kinetic energy through convergence and acceleration, and allows for the use of Divine Spirit-level thaumaturgy that bears an “evil” or “demonic” nature to it. Essentially, it is a releases a blast of black and dark red light holding energy equal to Sigurd’s total magical energy from the blade when the sword is swung. It is a blade that was reforged into a mightier weapon than it had been before, essentially becoming a potent directed energy weapon that can be used alongside his second Noble Phantasm without causing issues with each other. He is also the one who reforged the blade by his own hands, using the beyond-human craftsmanship methods taught to be by the dwarf Regin, who was his foster father. It was reforged with craftsmanship beyond that of any human make, even though with human hands, and through this gained unspeakable power. Indeed the nature of this weapon does not hinge upon the fey and light as its holy counterpart does, but rather on curses (demonic) and darkness. Were his father, Sigmund, to be summoned then the “Gram” Sigmund would possess would be innately different in nature and appearance. --- Name: Vile Draconic Armor Title: “Impenetrable Hide of the Great Hero” Rank: A NP Type: Anti-Unit (Self) Range: 0 Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Description: It is of note that the Fafnir which Sigurd killed is different from the one Siegfried slew, Sigurd’s being the “evil dragon phenomenon” that originated the concept of “evil dragons” in all other legends. Indeed, Sigurd’s Fafnir is a dragon equaled by only one other in the world. In this sense the protection this Noble Phantasm provides is superior to that of Siegfried's. It has also incorporated to other defensive aspects from his life into it, transforming into one strong defensive NP with 3 main aspects to it. Through the combination of being covered in dragon blood, granting him the "body of a phantasmal beast" that works like Mana Defense and grants him the MR of a Phantasmal beast, the "helm of terror" rune visible on his forehead that has become incorporated into this, and a phenomenon from his life that has been incorporated into this, he boasts a high amount of protection against any kind of damage or harm used others try to apply to him.
