Visually striking by the nature of her species, Kare tries to dull her natural features and beauty by wearing a collection of khaki and forest green apparel. She rarely leaves her room without a blaster on her hip and a vibroknife in her boots. She also tends to carry multiple datapads strapped to her belt and wrist. Kare doesn't wear battle armor while in the field to ensure full mobility, but does have slight padding in her jacket and pants. She also keeps a thermal visor and a set of electrobinoculars on her person, the few things she has left of her mother's.

A product of the Free Ryloth Movement, Kare Hadaj has been trained for covert operations with an emphasis on intelligence gathering. From a young age she was taught the art of slicing, getting into the darkest parts of the holonet and accessing systems with the precision of a droid. Kare was similarly taught how to get the right information out of the most unwilling opponents and how to use her beauty/inherent charisma to blend into a crowd. In regards to military training, she was not the most gifted sharpshooter, nor the most graceful pilot of landspeeders, but she is proficient enough to be a threat.

Kare was lucky enough to be born in relative freedom on Ryloth, though her idea of freedom was warped by the bonds of slavery on her planet. She was the child of two agents of the Twi'lek Resistance, namely Gorran and Yara Hadaj. Gorran was an expert Slicer in his own right, while Yara's specialty was stealth and reconnaissance. Kare managed to lean into both skill sets heavily in her upbringing. She was a joyful child who gleefully did what she could, often acting as a courier when exceptionally young to get messages to those in need.

As Kare matured, her responsibilities expanded. She accepted a heavier mantle in her teenage years by posing as a slave to aid in the plots of the Twi'lek Resistance, but wasn't assigned to a particularly dangerous post until the fateful trap laid by the Emperor himself. Kare and her father intercepted Imperial transmissions detailing the arrival of the Emperor. Kare was asked to provide overwatch and communication support during the ambush, rather than being in the field like her parents. Ultimately, this is what saved her when the trap was sprung and few of the Free Ryloth Movement's agents escaped.

Kare's parents weren't lucky enough to escape with their lives, leaving the nearly mature Kare on her own with a heavily fractured Free Ryloth Movement. The young agent abandoned the movement due to her hatred of Cham Syndulla, someone who always seemed to survive when his plans fell apart and let others pay the ultimate price. Kare eventually found her place amongst the Rebel Alliance and continued her work as an intelligence agent. The Rebel Alliance offered her combat training to help her survive in a dangerous Imperial Galaxy, and a chance to free not just her kind, but all those under the binds of the Empire.

She quickly rose the ranks, becoming one of the most well-respected Intelligence Officers in the Alliance. She's one of the youngest officers to be assigned a major post in "Asset Recovery", working on behalf of Rebel Intelligence for the Alliance Special Forces. On her latest mission, she was allowed to handpick a team of capable soldiers and spies from throughout the Alliance... and yet even they couldn't cut it. With nowhere left to turn, a desperate Kare has found a small team of Rebels with just the right skill set to put together a rescue operation.
