Turning around he saw that this time it was Lauren, and out of all things she was carrying a cat. What on Earth was she doing with a cat? Though the most peculiar sight he'd witnessed in Cairo, it was still odd. "Good morning, Miss Ridg...Lauren, a pleasent surprise to see you here. And who is this, your little friend?" But Mahendra nodded back to Lauren and gave her a smile nonetheless, especially when she vouched for him at the gate. The pleasent surprises kept coming with the arrival, or more precicely the departure of the Lord Mayor and...George, the mask-man, with a rather elegant automobile. The Lord Major gave both of them access to the Barracks, which made Mahendra feel more confident that he wouldn't be thrown away. Quite physically. "Thank you, Lord Major Sir. I promise I won't trespass in any proper British military area, and only go where I am allowed." Mahendra said reassuringly to the Lord Major as he and George alongside the car passed them, but his tone fell once he started to feel something...something was off. Something he couldn't quite put his finger on. That 'something' became clear as day once more familiar faces appeared. Vera was clearly shaken to her core by something awfull, Josephine was helping her and Akhmed explained what was the cause of all this. "Horrible...simply unbelievable...Yes, of course. We'll come with you. Lauren, will you come too?" Mahendra was shocked too. Now the smoke really got a better hold of him that before, as the connection became so apparent. Another death, this was not normal. "My deepest condolences, Lady Munn." Mahendra added as they walked, not knowing what fruitful to add to the conversation. Hopefully the Museum wouldn't give them any more surprises, although Mahendra was doubting any resemblance of normality with every coming tragedy.
