The sudden response from Gatoven caught Ren by surprise, even more shocking was the changes to his sword.  [Color=red]" Thank you Lord Gatoven, I will not waste your generous gift to me." [/color] he quickly prayed.

Motioning to his canine companion to follow, Ren made his way over to the church. Upon entering, the Hobgoblin turned toward the shrine of the Earth Goddess with a light sigh. Stepping forward, he fell to one knee and lowered his head before the shrine. 

[Color=red]"Goddess Shirila, mother of earth...  At the request of my god; Gatoven, I have come to pledge my blade to you.  Though I have no intention of worshipping you, I vow that should you ever need me, I will come to your aid."[/color] he whispered.  Rising back to his feet, headed out the door and began to hunt for something he could feed his new companion.
