It was easy to get lost in, easy to fall deeper into the arms of Caleb. This kiss was different from the one at the party. This felt like a clear understanding, and intimate. Ambrose had to admit their first encounter had been driven by lust and natural chemistry. Now there was a bond from surviving so much together, and for the first Ambrose felt a real connection to another person. They pulled back at the same time, taking a moment to stare at each other. Ambrose remained close, catching his breath as Caleb spoke. He nodded slowly, "I know... I-" He was at a loss of words for a moment, "I don't want to force anything either." He echoed in agreement, but at least in this moment everything felt natural and real. Ambrose squeezed Caleb's hand before pulling back slightly. "Do you want to...?" He trailed off, he knew they should probably focus on the blade and the demon and all that. But Ambrose just wanted to forget all about that though, at least for a few hours, wanted to ignore the messages from the rest of the group and just pretend everything was normal.
