[@Sola] The "saurus" is basically a holdover from the old days of paleontology, and Tyrannosaurus and its relatives were members of Coelurosauria, which were more closely related to birds than other archosaurs like crocodiles. And while it's only a theory that adult T. rexes had feathers, the babies certainly had at least some kind of down. Paleontology aside, knowing Rexy, if she was willing to show Blue mercy for not being afraid of a much larger carnivore (and helping kill it), then I'm sure she gave that lion due credit for having 'nads of steel.
I'm aware. I was just making the connection that [@Lady Selune] mentioned lizards (rather than birds) and that Tyrannosaurus Rex is the "king of the tyrant lizards" despite being closely related to birds. Also, I don't think it wasn't direct mercy, rather I think Rexy momentarily saw Blue as an ally. That, and Rexy wasn't feeling another fight right away to begin with. I don't doubt that she could easily take Blue, but Rexy is getting old by now (apparent by her change in roar), and she did just get her shit kicked in by the Indominus Rex.
