Oh wow, an Interest Check for an RP I'm running? Thank you kindly. So yeah, I'm the GM of this 5e game I've been hankering to run. When I mentioned 5e-esque I meant that the baseline mechanics and rules are from 5e, with liberal applications of the "DM discretion" rule. Don't expect things to always be concrete; I'm more than willing to alter or change things to either ensure the players can enjoy the game, or to curb abuse, possibly even both. And while I'm mostly okay if you want to alter some materials via homebrew (For example making full-blooded orcs have half-orc benefits) than I'm totally down with that, but newer things like building an entire race, class, spell, or item from the ground up, utilizing a new, different mechanic will require some discussion both in PM and public. Aside from that I would need at the minimum 4 people for this party, and the most I'll take is 6. If you have a pet class I will limit those to only 2 for the entire party. Having a familiar or a literal pet is fine, but if it's core to your character's abilities like a beastmaster ranger or a chain pact Warlock, again I'll only accept two for the party. This also includes if you're a necromancer and wish to at some point create an army or undead. Additionally if you have any hirelings, while I'll leave their exact nature of their personalities and background to you, do be aware that I'll be taking control of them for anything that requires a roll or some level of independent action away from the PC. That is to say, I reserve the right to have them mysterious vanish if you neglect them or something. Take care of your minions or I shall.
