Taking the empty kettle he proceeded to fill it up at the tap with hot water before setting on the stove. It was only after a couple moments left to his thoughts that he remembered he left his guest in the living room unattended. "Ah! Sorry about disappearing like that. I-ah, you're welcome to stay as long as you care to. I was just preparing some tea in the meanwhile."
