Easy to guess at this point, but Batman won't be taking part in the festivities with The Surfer. I just couldn't find a way to justify putting an early-stage version of Bruce up against a god-like being when his worldview is so Gotham-centric at the moment. So he's not answering the summons, whenever or however the summons comes.
