She has vivid iceblue eyes that seem to hold little capacity for kindness. Instead everything about her radiates a sort of tense, highly strung energy. Like a caged tiger. Her body is deceptively muscular underneath all the furs and layers of fabric, all which can be shed with a quick undoing of a side buckle. She looks very much like the high class yakuza that she was once part off, with flash clothes and ornate armor pieces that are as much for protection as they are intimdation. Her hair is white as snow, cascading to one side while the other side has been shaved. Origin: Yakuza Former Faction: Nobunaga Territories, Sae-Kun Syndicate. Fighting Style: Jaii switches between two styles depending on her weapon. Bōryoku ken no michi (暴力剣の道 - Way of the Violent Sword ) Jais style is a mix of her fathers philosophy of flowing and quick strike to keep a opponent on the back foot, and very unorthodox and wild form of bushido she perfected trough brawls and dueling. A extremely agressive style, it relies on downward cuts and launching the blade from from shoulder down and moving with it as to always present a difficult target. With the sheer size of her sword, she has reache to spare and present a leathal opponent but the momentum carries her more then she controls it. Her former Oyabun mockingly called it “Mountain Monkey Blade” due to how much wasted movement it seems to have and how aggressive it is. Kuikkukatto no michi (クイックカットの道 - Way of the Quick Cut) When she isn't wielding the Nodachi, her style is the carbon copy of her fathers famous techniques. Fast, menacing cuts and lightning fast insteps thats based in the most fundamental of Bushido rules. If she were to commit the same energy and effort to learn it, she might be a better combatant with it then the Nodachi. But pride in her fathers work has her focusing on the larger of the blades. Skills: Great Sword (The Odachi is a large, heavy and hard to wield blade.), Swordmanship, Street Smarts. Weapons: Bōryoku: Slung across her back, her fathers infamous Nodachi rests in its scabbard. A monoblade, its about 120 cm long, which on a woman who stands 172, makes the blade extra unwieldy. She compensates with a tailored fighting style. The blade itself is beautifully crafted for a monoblade, and the scabbard is pearl white with blue stylings all over it. As its her trademark, the weapon is always maintained to be in pristine condition. Gurēsu: The katana at her waist is nothing special. A serviceable sidesword to her Nodachi, its used when Boryoku is to big be swung around or the monoblade needs retooling. Motivation: To restore Mitsuwa Legacy of being some of the finest Bushi to ever live and to keep out Backstory: Jaii was born on the planet of Sagai, In the nobunaga territories. Her father, Jin Mitzuwa was once a Takeda Samurai who was famous for wielding a massive nodachi monoblade into battle and who had won many duels with NobuZai samurai. However, he had been nursing a wound at home when his lord died in battle. The Nobunaga Zaibatsu gave each samurai three options, lay down their weapons and live as they had before. Only their children would become Nobu Samurai in the future. Commit Seppeku, and follow their lord. Or keep their sword, but be exiled as Ronin. Jaii’s father chose the last option, to proud to lay down the sword. But not seeing the merit in taking his own life when he had a daughter on the way. Instead he moved to the planet of Sagai within the Nobuzai territories with the promise he would never take up arms against the NobuZai, nor would any of his offspring. However, his Wife had just given birth to Jaii and had suffered a rare form of bleeders disease as complication. Yet, he was made to move despit her weakened state. She did not survive the jump between systems, the strain to much. Now embittered, her father became a man with a single creed. “Never serve anyone but yourself.” Having a reputation of being a fierce swordsman and a duelist, he was allowed to start a Dojo with the Lord Demons very own blessings. They wanted his skills to be applied to future samurai of the NobuZai.However, when he started the Dojo, he would only instruct a select few, and those he instructed were sworn to only use the blade as a means of defence, not wield it for NobuZai or any of the subsidiaries. This angered some lower company heads who felt it was an affront to the Demons kindness and generosity which had afforded him the chance to start his life anew. Trough marketing, slander campaigns and painting him as a traitor and cowards who should have died with his old lord they bankrupted the man by raising the rent and disputing the lease on his dojo. They enticed and scared away his students. In the end, he had only his daughter, a mere babe at 7 years old. Who was to young to understand his grief and bitter resentment. Desperate for money, he turned to gambling and petty duels for others entertainment. The Lion of Takeda was a shadow of his olds self, riddles with rustgut and alcohol. But people still remembered his fierceness. At first, he found some success. He made money, he came alive in battle. But fighting lowlives and rusty and arrogant ronin dulled his skills. One day, He was challenged by a young and nibble samurai. A Takeda Ronin like himself, who resented the old man for pissing away everything and for as he saw it: betrayed the Takeda name. By now, Jaii was 11, and had begun to work as a dice hand at a gambling joint. It just so happened that it was outside that gambling hall, her father was decapitated in one fell strike. The Takeda Ronin, a man by the name of Ishi, was a accomplished swordsman and had only been a ronin for a little more then 2 months. There was no rust, and her old mans insistence on using a large unwieldy sword when he was anything but his old, trained self, had cost him his life. Jaii grabbed a tanton of a local thug, and with silent determination, made her way to the man. Right there on the street, only 11 years of age. Jaii gutted a man without a scream of anger. She wasn’t even sure why she had done it afterwards. She had walked up the Ronin who saw no danger from a 11 year old until it was to late. Of course, as luck would have it. The Ronin was not alone, two fellow samurai found out about his untimely and frankly embarrassing death and went looking for her. However, the thug she had taken the knife from, turned out to be the Oyabun of Sae-Kun Syndicate, a yakuza organization. He had been impressed and moved by someone so young, having the nerves and the determination to avenge their own fathers death the moment it happened. The two Ronin were not seen again, but the Oyabun did wear a takeda helmet for a while afterwards. Now in debt to the Syndicate, she lived her life a thug. She scrapped, she practiced with her fathers swords and she listened to stories about him from people who had heard of his name. At the age of 17, she was sent to a dojo to practice with the intention to infiltrate it as a rival syndicate had just purchased it. It was there she found her love for 1 on 1 duels. She insisted to use her father's sword, despite it being much to large for her. She was eventually told to stop going as the Sae-Kun found out the buy had been something a feint, to mislead them as their enemies focused on other targets in secret. Refusing to do so, she continued her training to the dismay of her Oyabun. She found that the thuggish lifestyle was not for her, and aimed to settle her debts with syndicate. The syndicate would of course, not take her resignment in stride. You do not quit the Yakuza. She fled the planet after mortally wounding the Oyabuns only son in a challenge for her freedom that he foolishly accepted. That was 6 years ago.
