Rule 3: Posting Length: Please keep posts between one and three paragraphs. This RP is in the casual category for a reason.
I'm going to break this rule so hard. I can be incredibly verbose, but I will try to cut down on that. Well, here's my character, adapted from a previous Pokemon RP than fell through. The 3000 base state limit was more annoying than I thought, even though I knew that means a average base stat total of only 500; I had to change my team around a little to accommodate.
Name: Samantha Riley Alias: Sam Title: World Traveller Age: 22 Appearance: Personality: Samantha is a wandering soul, never comfortable staying in one place and always wanting to see what is over the horizon. A high-spirited girl with an irrepressible cheer, Samantha has a sense of adventure and a desire to explore that often got her into trouble as a young girl. Nevertheless she is friendly and possessed of a kind of carefree natural charm that made it easy for her to make friends growing up. Biography: Samantha grew up as an only child in the coldest and most isolated little town she could possibly imagine; Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region. It wasn’t all bad, her hometown is a beautiful place surrounded by natural splendour, but there just isn’t much for a young and adventurous young girl to do there. The only points of interest are the Gym, the Temple and the nearby lake and while this may be enough for a tourist, when you are a local there are only so many times you can visit these places before you get bored. Even with as much love as she has for her hometown, Samantha always wanted to leave; and as far as she was concerned, this meant becoming a Pokémon trainer. Lots of trainers would pass through Snowpoint city to challenge the Gym leader, so many that they made up probably three quarters of the travellers who came through town, and as a bored child Samantha would spend a lot of time in the gym so that she could watch the battles and also so she could hear their stories. Because really, what else was there to do? The thing about trainers is that they usually like to tell stories about their adventures, exaggerated or not, to the point that everyone around them gets bored of hearing them. But Samantha was never bored. She would listen to the stories of any trainer who was willing to tell them and would always try to imagine the places they described and remember to look them up later. The wandering, vagabond life of a trainer always seemed like the perfect existence to her, the perfect escape from her little town, and when she was old enough, when she finally convinced her parents to let her become a trainer herself, that’s exactly what she did. Since then Samantha has travelled the globe, visiting every region that had a name worth knowing and more than a few that didn’t. She travelled to exotic lands, met the locals, sampled the food, captured the indigenous Pokémon and challenged the Gyms or whatever that regions equivalent was; Alola and the Orange Islands weren’t the only ones who liked to do things differently. She has competed in leagues and faced challenges in places that those trainers she used to listen to back home didn’t even know existed. In just a short amount of time Samantha has made a name for herself all around the world, but not in the usual way. Some trainers are world renowned because of one great accomplishment that spreads around the world; Samantha is world renowned because she has made herself known everywhere.
