[@Polyphemus] That's fair enough. He'll be a bit of an anarchronism in a sci-fi world so that is certainly interesting. 

You can make as many PCs as you like but there's no rush, you can take time to settle into the saddle once more. I'll PM you in a little bit with my thoughts on the ways he can be involved in the plot. 

[@BrokenWashing] Well I had Superman as revealing himself to the public at 21, and his generation of heroes either first appeared on the scene within a few years afterward or came out of obscurity. 

Since Alec as a Nobel-winning biochemist, is likely at least a bit older, but he could have been particularly academically accomplished and still been relatively young compared to other scientists before he changed. It's really up to you, but the 60-70 range would make sense. He could be older than that even.
