[@Duthguy] Number of cleric spells prepared is your cleric level + your wisdom modifier. Number of spells slots is influenced by your cleric level only. A level 1 cleric has two 1st level spell slots, but because your wisdom modifier is +2, you can have 3 spells prepared. What this means is that you can cast 2 spells (not including cantrips) between each long rest, but you have 3 choices for each. Essentially, you should know three 1st level spells, but only be able to cast two of them (or the same one twice) between each long rest. Have I explained that more clearly?
