The Professor nodded his understanding. [b]"Okay, but I'll need to revisit the computer. I can't give you one of my main Pokemon. You should use another starter Pokemon."[/b] After an awkward moment of silence, he pushed a button, his back hiding his selection. 

[b]"Here we go."[/b] He said as he tossed the Pokeball. In a flash of red light, a small Tepig appeared. [b]"This little guy likes to battle too. Plus, it would be good experience for you to battle with another fire-type."[/b] He said to Indigo. He then turned his attention to the Tepig. [b]"Hey little man. I need your help. Torchic here was selected by this young trainer, but she won't accept him without a battle first. You mind battling with him as your trainer for a moment?"[/b]

Tepig looked from the Professor to Indigo to Torchic for a good thirty seconds. Then, with an almost indifferent oink of approval, he walked over to Indigo's side. He didn't like the idea of taking orders from a newbie, but he couldn't miss the chance to battle.
