Darnies and Chasa had been settled on the bench in front of the reception desk for a few minutes before he felt it; the draw of energy around them that told him someone was using magic close by. He had stiffened up and closed his eyes, following the draw to the hallway with the interrogation rooms, and when his searching magic had halted as though he hit a wall, he had an unfortunate feeling. Still, he analyzed what he could, the only thing he could with the odd barrier currently active; The magical signature. It took a moment before he was able to recognize Harry's signature, the barrier muddling that along with whatever else it was meant for. He frowned. Chasa nudged him from where he'd rested his head on her shoulder, and he looked up to see her giving him a concerned look, her eyes searching. He gave her the barest shake of his head, indicating this wasn't the place to talk about whatever she saw when she got a good look at his face. She nodded in response just as some of the others began to arrive. The first were the odd pair that had come a little late to the...party last night. They came over to Darnies and Chasa after they me with the Desk Sergeant, talking about getting to know each other. Darnies found himself only partially willing to do this, given that he doesn't often come across a Black Dog or Familiar level Demon- which he knows them to be now that he can focus on their energy and not an impending bloodbath- and the times he has, Familiar-wise at least, the being usually tried to bond with him as they recognized his ability to use magic, but not the fact that he was a Witch. When one tried to force a bond between them without his knowledge, the magic swirling in his very soul has lashed out and vaporized the poor thing. The thoughts must have shown on his face because Chasa gave a polite cough before extending her hand to the two. "Sorry about him, I'm Chasa," She introduced, ever the friendly one. "And this is Darnies," Her side eye had him putting his hand out for a shake as well, just as the Hunter girl came in, gave a brief comment to the Desk Sergeant, and moved to the other wall with a small nod in their general direction. Darnies narrowed his eyes but nodded back as well. Rebecca glided in just after, and now that they were all there, he was hoping they could get this over with. As he thought this, he realized that everyone's arrival had distracted him from keeping an eye on Harry's barrier, and when he tuned back into it, it was gone along with any trace of his presence. That did not bode well. He was proven right as just a few moments later, a stone-faced officer came up to them. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm afraid that on top of giving your statements on last night, we will have to interview you each separately before you are allowed to leave," He spoke up, causing Chasa to look concerned. "Sorry, Officer, but why is that?" She asked as they were led to the hallway with the interrogation and interview rooms, Chasa making sure to stay between Darnies and the Hunter. The officer didn't say anything until they were in the secured waiting room. Once they were all sat down, he finally answered. "The perpetrator of last night's attack was found murdered in his interrogation room; as you were all potential targets of his, we need to interview each of you. It might take a while," he said before settling in a chair himself and watching them all, probably to make sure they didn't try to share information or make up stories. Darnies sighed and dug his thumbs into the sides of his nose, resting his elbows on the arms of the chair and keeping his head down. 'Goddammit Harry...'
