She didn't like the idea of spending money where it wasn't strictly necessary, but it's be a good way to get her and Emmie out of the rain. She didn't really need to eat, having already had some lunch, so she could justify the cost of it was just Emmie eating. She sighed, hating being soaked like this. It was gross, and the fact that she could easily remedy the situation only made her frustration worse. It was a real testament to her self control. She trudged on, thinking to herself that Emmie better show up or so help her god, she'd go out and find her. She didn't like her schedule being disrupted like this, being drenched, or spending money she didn't need to. Granted, this was her fault, being the one to suggest they meet up during a veritable monsoon. Adalene turned a corner, and shot under an outdoor facade she was lucky enough to see extended down the street. She took the opportunity to try to roll off as much as much water as possible. That wouldn't be much, of course, but it was something goddamn it. Adalene slowed her pace, letting herself bask in the moment of relief she'd found. She ran her hands through her hair, wringing out some of the water that'd found it's way in. She shook her head, this was the first time'd she'd ever gotten caught in the rain, and she definitely be checking the weather before leaving the apartment for a solid month after this ordeal. She was about halfway down the block, and this had served so far as a nice little reprieve for herself. She shook her head, and picked up her pace back up.
