Although Charlie’s quietness is one of the first things one picks up about him, it’s more for the fact that he has less to say than being shy. When engaged, he can join in on a conversation happily enough, but it’s clear he takes stock in the term “Silence is golden”. Paired with this, he is quite reserved. Although honest in most ways, he tends to keep his emotions bottled up, and his problems to himself. Nobody’s been able to help him in the past with his problems, so he doesn’t see the point in stopping that now.

Being a typical teenage boy, he has his mood swings now and again. Alternating between grumpiness and a want to be by himself, these traits can be half-blamed by the realisation of his powers. He’s both unhappy with and scared of what he can do, and as such, has no desire to practice and improve them in his spare time. He’ll use them in missions to try and help people, but seriously dislikes them – and by default, dislikes himself.

Despite mood swings, Charlie does enjoy the company of others. Being in a new school away from his bullies has brought out a brighter side to him, despite the circumstances. Things seem much easier at this school, and therefore, he’s generally happier. If you’re to make friends with him here, he’ll make a decently firm one.
