Thank you for the kind words. About John not being the focus, I think some of my favorite moments from the Hellblazer comic are always when John gets out of the way and lets the characters get their comeuppance. That's pretty much what I was going for there. The scene with Waltham at the typewriter was also inspired by this really bad VH1 sci-fi anthology series from like 2000 called [i]Strange Frequency[/i]. It involved a piece of sheet music Hendrix wrote before he died, and Roger Daltrey as a hammy as fuck devil.
