Few things made her nose wrinkle, but god damn did it stink. Her nose was on fire. The filter in the hazmat suit - even holding her breath - could only do so much for her now. She stayed close with her partner, though, keeping observant eyes on all directions. She could hear the familiar sound of power armor hissing in the air. Immediately, Devon assumed it was the dark-haired woman in her group, looking over her shoulder to check, but the sound came from the other direction. Her eyes were squinting and beginning to water due to the smell. Her visibility blurred. She blinked to get the tears out of her eyes. Devon then heard heavy breathing, "Hey. Hey." she called quietly to her partner. Her vision cleared up, water streaming down her cheeks. Pointing her light at her partner's direction, she could almost see the expression on his face, but the steam on the mask of his hazmat suit from his heavy breathing spoke for him. The sound of gears and hissing was louder and before her and her partner stood a behemoth like Devon had never seen before. Her eyes widened and her breathing almost matched her companion's. "Run." Of course that was the smartest thing she could do. She had nothing to defend herself with but several knives at her disposal, but she was stubborn. She wasn't going to leave her partner. "I'm sorry." Acting quickly, she grabbed her companion and started to run in the other direction; towards the group. She cursed mentally, quickly exiting the tunnel and reuniting with the group. She pushed herself back against the wall, breathing deep and heavy, trying to catch her breath. "Fuck. Why didn't I ever think to get a gun?" she softly asked herself, feeling pretty stupid. She looked up at each person in the group, shaking her head. "Not clear."
